Now you can easily create a beautiful Christmas tree design. Long before the start of the Christmas break, antique people used evergreen trees in their adoration. Some turned spruce or fir branches over doors and windows to keep witches and evil spirits away.

Let’s Learn About It First

Celebrations featuring evergreen trees often took place on or around the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year.

The solstice typically falls on December 21st or 22nd, and these ancient celebrations honoring the sun god’s return correspond to the modern Christmas celebrations, which occur on December 25th.

Today, in countries around the world, evergreen trees or their artificial counterparts are brought indoors and adorned with ornaments and lights. Some attribute the tradition of lighting lights on a tree to reformer Martin Luther more than 600 years ago.

Instructions for Drawing A Christmas Tree

Step 1

First, draw two vertical lines. The lying line should be fast and scratch at the bottom of the vertical line.

Step 2

Draw a small rectangle above the horizontal line.

Step 3

Draw an oval around the horizontal line.

Step 4

Draw a short line descending from each of the outside edges of the oval. Draw a short curved stripe at the base of the rectangle.

Step 5

Join the short lines coming down from the oval with a curved line.

Step 6

Draw four horizontal lines that intersect the vertical line.

Step 7

Draw an equilateral triangle, where all sides are equal—starting at the top of the vertical line.

Step 8

Draw another larger triangle that intersects the first.

Step 9

Draw an even more significant third triangle that intersects the second.

Step 10

Connect the bottom two points on the three triangles with a long, curved line.

Step 11

Erase the guides. You can now plainly see the figure of your tree. Draw an elongated triangle on each side of the bottom of the tree.

Step 12

Attach the two triangles with a linear stripe.

Step 13

Connect the outer points of the two triangles with a curved line.

Step 14

Erase the guides from inside the tree. Mark a star on the lid of the tree. To do this, start by drawing an inverted triangle, the apex that meets the tree’s highest point. Then draw another triangle over it and cut the first one.

Step 15

Inside the top of the tree triangle, draw curved lines connecting the top point to each bottom point. Do the same by connecting the bottom line of each part of the tree to the dots below. Draw a curved line that intersects the tree trunk.

Step 16

Erase the guides from inside the tree. You now have a finished evergreen tree.

Step 17
