Where to Find Firearm Rental?
Many people never consider the fact that they do not need to own a firearm to enjoy the amenities of a range. Renting firearms is a great way to polish your skills at a range without the hassle of firearm upkeep. Let’s get familiar with range pricing, facility amenities, and the other nitty-gritty details for firearm rental.
About the Ranges
Armory Ranges offers two state-of-the-art indoor ranges. Located in Franklin and Nashville, these two facilities have quickly received Tennessee’s first 5 star designations. Each shooting bay is climate-controlled, clean, and comfortable. Their partnership with Action Target (based in Utah) has equipped each range with the most technologically advanced range equipment within the entire United States.
Renting at the Ranges
Armory Ranges offers firearm rental for both locations. The Nashville location boasts 16 lanes, divided into 2 bays, at 25 yards each. The Franklin location has 10 12-yard-long ranges. Renters can choose from a wide variety of machine guns, pistols, rifles, suppressed firearms, and shotguns. Check out the full list of available options here.
Typically, shooters may supply their own ammunition when practicing on the ranges. Any rented firearms, however, must exclusively use range ammunition, which can be purchased at the front counter.
Pricing
The cost of a lane rental is dependent upon how many shooters are sharing the lane. For a single shooter, the hourly rate is $25/hour per lane. You may share lanes with another shooter for an additional $15/hour per person. Keep in mind that there is a limit of 3 shooters per lane.
Firearm rental pricing is typically $25 per firearm. The exception is for suppressed firearms and machine guns, which are $35 and $75 respectively. The cost of ammunition depends on which firearm you select for your practice. You can reach out for specialized pricing to either the Nashville or Franklin locations here. Aside from lane rental, firearm rental, and ammunition, you should grab a few targets while you’re at the counter. You can purchase individual targets for $2 a pop, so each person shooting with you can affordably have their own target practice. Be sure to either bring your own or rent eye and ear protection– you will not be permitted to shoot without it.
Abiding By Armory Range Rules
Regardless of whether you bring your own or rent firearms, there are a few rules that you need to grow familiar with. These rules are in place for the safety of all individuals inside of the ranges. For starters, let’s review a few rules that will impact whether or not you’re even permitted onto the range.
Age Requirements
Adults may shoot without accompaniment; however, minors that are at least 12 years old require a parent or legal guardian present while shooting. Both the parent and child must sign a waiver prior to using the range. Children younger than 12 years old are not permitted to shoot.
Mandatory Dress Code
No form of open footwear is permitted at any time when using the ranges. This includes flip-flops, sandals, and other footwear that may expose various parts of the foot. You may not wear tank tops or other low-cut tops. None of the clothing or jewelry worn may include any of the following images, references, or overtones: drugs, lewd or illegal behavior, sex, obscenities, or otherwise offensive visuals. You may not wear undergarments as outer garments (this does include muscle shirts). Torn or ragged clothing is not permitted. Lastly, you may not wear pants that sag.
