Are you looking for something fun to do at home in your garden? Maybe you have considered getting a trampolin? But have you considered getting an Airtrack? Airtracks are really fun to use and for many one of the best things you can get for your garden if you have kids.  Airtracks are a new type of gymnastic mats which can be filled with air to give you more bounce when you do jumps and flipz on the Airtrack. Something that makes it both more fun and more effetive when doing gymnastic stuff on it. It’s also a great type of exercise.

Are Airtracks something everybody would find fun to use?

No not always, but if you got kids around 6 to 17 chances are that they will just love it. Even if they don’t know much gymnastics or can do all the fancy jumps. Just being able to do a few very basic jumps or trying to learn these basic jums are really fun.  So if you are tired of watching the kids sit in front of the television or mobile phone all day, consider getting them an Airtrack.

But don’t just take my word for it. Look at what these people here write about Airtracks:

How big should an Airtrack be?

Finding the right size for an Airtrack can be quite the task. You need to consider how long it should be, how wide, and how thick. Keep in mind that the larger the Airtrack is, the more it will cost you and the more heavy will it be to carry around.
A small 3 meter is often a good place to start for small beginners. And the more skills they have, or the older they are, the larger and thicker a model you will want to buy. A wide airtrack is also good for beginners as they will typically have a harder time staying in the middle of it. More experienced users can ofte do just fine on a 1 meter wide model.

High quality brand or a cheap model

This is a hard one. More expensive brands offers better performance, higher quality and so on. But what the point of buying a very expensive Airtrack if your kid will only use it for two weeks and then find it boring? On the other hand if you buy a cheap one, your kid will likely outgrow it faster and not quite get the amount of fun they could have on it.
For me the main reason you should be a quality brand like GymPlay or Airtrackz are increased performance, much better quality, toxic free materials and that you can combine these Airtracks with a bunch of extra gear like incline mats, landing mats, Airbarrels and much more. I would typically pay more and get a quality brand in 90% of the cases.

How old should you be to use an Airtrack?

My youngest kid is 4 and he already love playing on the Airtrack. He can even do a few jumps on it. But I would say that he is still a year to young to get much out of it. My oldest kid is 19 and have more or less stopped using it. So I would go as far and say everything between. And the core user age 8-14. However you often see the older kids and young men use them at the gymnastic club and gymnastic tournaments.

Airtrack accessories

For some of the higher quality brands you can get a bunch of accessories for your Airtrack. Things that makes it much more fun to use. For instance adding a landingmat enables you to use the whole Air track for jumping and land on the mat instead of the Airtrack. This pretty much equals having a 1-2 meter longer model. Airbarrels is another tool that makes it much easier to learn some of the jumps and gymnastic tricks – especially for the younger ones. Incline mats makes it easier to get on the Airtrack for the young ones and spring boards gives you even more space to cool series of jumps.
This accessories enables you to have more fun with your Airtrack or delay the need of getting a bigger one.

So yeah all in all I would certainly go as far as saying that Airtracks are really fun to use – especially if you are a kid and love sports or gymnastics. It’s something you can train on by yourself, or have fun with together with your friends.
