Guwahati Planetarium-

Basistha Ashram-
Bassist Ashram is a very interesting place in Guwahati. It is said that this place was built by Guru Basisht ji, the creator of Bassist Ramayana.

Shrimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra-
The main objective of Shrimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra is to make people aware of the art, tradition, and culture of Assam.
Shrimanta Sankardev Ji was a famous social reformer and writer of the medieval period. A cultural institution called Shrimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, not only has a good cultural museum but also has a children’s park and library.
Traditional dance programs are also organized in the theater here, which has a seating capacity of 2000 people. Shrimanta Sankardev is located at Batahghuli, 9 km from Kalakshetra railway station.
Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary-
It is one of the most beautiful wildlife sanctuaries in India. This forest area is best known for its wild rhinoceros, this place is located 40 km east of Guwahati in the Mobigaon district.
This wildlife sanctuary is home to many species of birds, this sanctuary is mainly famous for the one-horned rhinoceros and this sanctuary is spread over 30.8 sq km only rhinos live in 16 sq km, and along with it, Many other creatures including Asiatic buffalo, leopard, wild cat, and wild bear are also seen.
Nehru Park-
To enjoy the atmosphere of Guwahati at a leisurely pace, there is a nice park in the center of Guwahati, which is Nehru Park, which is named after the first Prime Minister of India, Shri Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The artwork made in this park is the main attraction here. Nehru Park was built in the year 2000 and is today known as the main place for your tourists. This park is 1 km away from the Guwahati railway station.
Assam State Museum-
The Assam State Museum built-in 1940 is a fine museum built by the Kamrup Anusandhan Samiti. Umanand Temple-
This temple is situated on Peacock Island in the middle of the Brahmaputra river and the main attraction of this island is Umananda Temple where Shiva is worshipped.
The origin of the name Umanand is made up of two words Uma and Anand. A large number of devotees come here every year during Shivratri which falls in the month of February.
If you are going to visit this temple, then go in the evening, when the sun is setting. You can reach the temple only by boat or steamer.
Bhuvaneshwari Temple-
Bhuvaneshwari Temple is one of the places of interest in Guwahati, which is situated on top of Nilachal hills, the height of this temple is more than Kamakhya temple. It is said that this temple was built between the 7th to 9th centuries.
During Ambubachi and Manasha Puja, this temple attracts a large number of tourists and devotees from all over the world.
Most of the tourists climb from Kamakhya to Bhuvaneshwari temple. Bhuvaneshwari Temple is 7 km away from the railway station.
Kamakhya Temple-
Kamakhya Temple is a very mysterious temple in India, where every year Ambubachi Fair is organized in Sawan, in which 1000 women come to take the blessings of attainment of Shantan.
This temple is situated on the Nilanchal hill. Kamakhya Temple is a very important temple dedicated to Kamakhya, the goddess of strength, desire, and fertility.
This temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeth sites in the Indian subcontinent. Idols of other deities like Das Mahavidya, Bhairav, Ganesh, and Gauri are also installed on the premises of this temple as well as there is also a holy pond.
