This flower is associated with the myth of Narcissus who was famous for his beauty, he denied every suitor that came to him. The goddess of revenge, Nemesis, saw this behavior and was deeply hurt. To seek her revenge she attracted Narcissus to a pool of water, he looked into it and fell in love.
