The annual award recognizes the spirit of young entrepreneurs who are under 30 and have established at least one successful business venture in one of the following areas: Social Enterprise, Creative Arts, Tourism & Hospitality, Environment, Design and Innovation. Ten winners in each category will be invited to be part of a special forum where they will be mentored by some of Australia’s leading entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors and other industry experts.

As part of my role at the company, I was nominated as a finalist for an award: Young Entrepreneur of the Year. This was great news and a real privilege. The category had several nominees and the competition to make the list wasn’t easy. It’s so important to celebrate success and the journey taken to reach that success. I’m really proud of this achievement and wanted to share it with you.

The Young Entrepreneur Awards is the only national competition recognizing young entrepreneurs who have built outstanding businesses in the service, retail and manufacturing sectors. The competition is open to every young entrepreneur from start-up to established business leaders below the age of 30.
