As a pet lover, I would always want the best for my pets. We dog owners will do anything that makes our dogs live a longer and healthier life. But how do we know which products are actually good for their health or if they are actually working?
A few days back one of my colleagues told me that she had been feeding her dogs a popular vision supplement. I was at first very anxious about it. But turns out the users had good results from it. As oral supplements are already hard to feed your dogs, I would at least make sure that I am tricking them into feeding what is good for their health. And some of these meds are so costly it makes me wonder if they are actually worth it.
Some popular supplements I know are Glucosamine, Fish-oil, Omega-3, antioxidants, etc. I always wondered if there is a product that can combine all of the important nutrients as buying them separately is not only costly but also to feed your dogs 4 different meds is very difficult. I have to trick them into feeding these which I am already guilty about. About the cost, sometimes discount offers can help but what to do with their stubborn rejection of meds!
I think some supplements are worth it. Such as probiotics I know that they are good. Glucosamine and Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants are good as well. But sometimes vets suggest unnecessary supplements which can easily be complemented with food. Thus, it is important to do your own research. However, I think if a supplement is doing good for your dogs, no matter how costly they are, it is always worth it.
