Although Windows 11 has been published, Microsoft is constantly working to improve the most recent version of Windows. Members of Microsoft’s Windows Insider Program receive public preview releases on a regular basis, allowing them to try out new features and even help develop them.

There are three routes in the Windows Insider programme:

  • New features are released in the Dev Channel for initial testing, regardless of whatever Windows edition they’ll eventually appear in. This channel is suitable for developers and technical users, and builds in it may be unstable and buggy.
  • You’ll gain more polished features in the Beta Channel that will be released in the next major Windows version. This route is appropriate for early adopters, and Microsoft claims that your feedback will have the most influence here.
  • In the Beta Channel, you’ll get more polished features that will be released in the next major Windows version. This path is best for early adopters, according to Microsoft, and your feedback will have the most impact here.

 

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22563

This build contains a new taskbar feature that identifies when a device is being used as a tablet and immediately adapts to an optimal version. After that, the taskbar can be folded or enlarged. It vanishes when compressed, giving you extra screen real estate. The taskbar is optimised for usage with touch when expanded. By swiping up or down on the tablet’s bottom, you may effortlessly swap between the two states. Widgets and news feeds are combined in this design to make it easier to see changing information at a glance. A new feature for IT admins has also been included. It helps the refurbished processors to work faster. A number of minor enhancements have also been made, such as an expanded Quick Access search that now includes content from OneDrive, Downloads, and any indexed location.

 

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22557

Many new features are included in this build, including the option to organise pinned apps into folders in the Start menu, the Do not disturb feature, which allows you to stop notifications, and the Focus feature, which disables a number of distracting Windows functions.

OneDrive and File Explorer integration is also new, allowing you to monitor your OneDrive sync status and quota consumption without having to leave File Explorer. There are a number of new touch gestures as well. A new method of snapping windows into Snap Layouts has also been included.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22543

Many bugs have been fixed in this build like processors works slow and then people use refurbished processors and other one that caused Task Manager to crash when switching to the Performance tab, another that caused explorer.exe to crash when dragging and dropping a file out of a zipped folder in File Explorer, and yet another that caused the cursor to vanish in certain apps.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22538

This update adds additional features to voice access, such as the ability to spell words and enter numbers, punctuation marks, symbols, and emojis. There are also a number of bug patches, including one that caused explorer.exe to crash when hitting the hardware buttons for volume up/down, and another that caused Settings to crash while browsing the properties of a Wi-Fi network. The taskbar may flicker while switching input methods, and the Search panel may not open after clicking the Search button on the taskbar.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22533

This build adheres to Microsoft’s “Windows 11 design principles” by updating the flyout design for hardware indicators for brightness, volume, camera privacy, camera on/off, and airplane mode. When you press the volume or brightness keys on a laptop, the new flyouts emerge. The update also resolves 16 problems, including one that prevented you from importing photographs from certain cameras and mobile phones into the Photos app, and another that caused explorer.exe to crash when you held the Ctrl key and hovered your cursor over the Task View icon on the taskbar.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22526

This build resolves nine issues, including one in which the Search flyout became stuck on the screen and was transparent except for its border, and another in which the Widgets panel became briefly blank, showing only an Add Widgets button that when pressed opened to a blank dialogue box. There is more than a dozen documented issues in this release, including the taskbar flickering when switching input methods and the Search panel not opening after clicking the Search button on the taskbar and by this Refurbished processor works faster which you can easily get from Subserve.co.uk.

Multitasking:

The “Snap” function in Windows 10 has been updated to allow you more choice over how you organize your open windows. You can choose from a variety of pre-built Snap layouts and group them into Snap groups. Task View desktops can now be reordered and have customized backgrounds.

Touch, Inking and Voice Input:

There are 13 new themes for the touch keyboard, which may also be resized. A voice typing launcher is also included, as well as various new touch gestures. A switcher displays next to Quick Settings in the lower right corner of the taskbar, allowing you to rapidly switch between various languages and keyboards. A menu for personalizing digital pens has also been included.

Known issues: This release contains around two dozen known issues in a variety of areas, including the taskbar, Settings, Start, Search, Widgets, and the Store. When upgrading a device with multiple user accounts to Windows 11, for example, Settings may fail to launch; the Search panel may not open after clicking the Search icon taskbar; and when upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 or installing an update to Windows 11, some features may be deprecated or removed.
