Muslims read the Quran not only to obtain innumerable blessings from God, but also to find solutions to their worldly problems in the light of the Qur’an. It is essential that every Muslim read, understand and follow the teachings of the Quran in their daily lives. Muslim parents should not make their children learn to recite the Quran, but should read the Quran so that their children can develop interest in learning the Quran.

It is important that children begin to learn the Quran at an early age because children quickly learn new knowledge and have the ability to retain it. In Muslim countries, there are many options by which parents can make their children learn to recite the correct Quran. People can ask the Qur’an teacher to come to their house and teach their children or send their children to the mosques where the usual lessons of the Qur’an are carried out. As a Muslim it is important to recite the Quran in the correct pronunciation. The Tajweed rules are the most important when it comes to allowing children to read correctly and fluently. The rules of Tajweed make children read the Arabic alphabet correctly from the mouth, throat and lips.

The best way to learn children more easily is to have a Quran teacher at home. Children have an interaction with the Qur’an teacher, which means that they can spend a lot of time learning the Qur’an and correcting the mistakes that children make immediately. Children can also ask questions without hesitation. There are few rules that children should follow before and during the Quranic lesson

  • The kids should wear clean clothes and perform ablution before they read the Quran
  • The kids should remain quiet and attentive when the Quran teacher is reciting the Quran.
  • The kids should slowly repeat after the Quran teacher so that they don’t commit any mistake while reading the Quranic verses.

The Quran teacher who come to the house first ask the age of the kid as small kids are initially taught Arabic language and its pronunciation before they begin proper Quran reading. The Female Quran teacher first make the kids read short Quranic verses so that kids get the idea on how to accurately pronounce the words. The kids are given four or five verses to read for the day and the following day new lesson is not given until the kids read the five verses of previous day. The Quran teacher who comes to the house also teaches the proper way to offer five daily prayers to the kids.
