Bear in mind, these ideas are not limited to birthdays, but in fact can be just as useful for an anniversary, wedding or graduation party too.

There are a tonne of ways to have fun, and with this article we will make sure you make the most out of it, let’s dive right in.

Set a Budget

The first thing you will need to do is set a budget for the event. A good idea is to create a to-do list, which will ensure that you don’t miss out on anything last minute and you will also have a rough estimate for the budget. Remember, you do not have to spend too much on  a celebration, what matters is you make the most out of what you already have.

Create a budget for the food, snacks (if any), and all the activities you will be arranging. If you’re not willing to spend too much, look for DIYs that you can follow instead. They are fun to do and can eventually turn out into something beautiful.

Create the Guest List

Now you don’t necessarily need to invite guests to your celebration, you can enjoy the event at home with your own family instead, especially, if COVID-19 has affected your area, it is best that you avoid inviting any guests. However, if the COVID restrictions are eased in your country due to a decline in cases, you can consider inviting vaccinated guests while maintaining social distance. While you are at it, be sure to create a list of guests you are willing to invite to the party, be it family, friends or neighbours, make sure you have all your potential guests listed down so you can plan the menu and other parts of the event easily.

Another option you can consider is to set up a projector and have a celebration with your friends on zoom or skype virtually. Regardless of your situation, you must always remember the show must go on!

Decorate the Home

Decorations can make or break your event. Consider the area(s) you want to decorate and have a rough sketch for how you are planning to decorate the home. You can use balloons to create a nice arch or maybe even a walk down the memory lane by adding pictures to the balloons. Get fairy lights and place them over the walls or on your party table to create an enchanting fairytale like atmosphere. Similarly, you can also create customised decorations and party favours depending on your event and add it to the main party table.

Oh! and don’t forget the confetti! Now what’s a party without some confetti being thrown all over, buy party poppers with confetti online and have the event you will always remember!

Prepare Activities and Family Games/ Have a Movie Night

Make sure you keep your guests entertained, there is no point of throwing a party without knowing what to do next. You, being the host, have to know everything that will take place so you and your guests can enjoy every moment of the party. Consider having some fun family games planned like charades, scrabble, musical chairs and more, just ensure all the games you choose are something that people of all ages can enjoy.

If you are not too big on having games, why not throw a grand netflix and chill party? Create the cinema-like feel with dull lighting, comfortable seating and be sure to have your movie popcorn all ready to go. Gather around and watch your favourite movie with your friends and family, preferably something scary or funny and we bet you’ll have a great time.

Finalise the Menu

The food has to be spectacular. Whether you are ordering in or cooking the food at home, be sure to create a menu that everyone will love, and add some dishes for vegans just in case one of your guests cannot have meat. Plan the menu a couple of days ahead of the event, and you can also prepare or half cook some meals to get organized.

Make the Event Special: Fireworks

Lastly, to make this night even better we suggest topping the event off with a show of fireworks. Invest in some from arrow Redstar and we promise you none of you will be dissappointed. All you need to do is sit back and enjoy the show!

Even if you can’t go out to have fun, does not mean you can’t have any fun at all. Make the most ouf of the ideas above to have an event you will always remember.
