At the beginning of the film, Sam (Anders Danielsen Lie) goes to his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in Paris for a wild party. The morning was the only thing left untouched
If he waited, he would fall asleep, and if he slept well, the night would eat up the world. In other words, the zombie apocalypse passes through Paris at night, and when he wakes up in the morning, he’s the only one unaffected. After the horror subsides and he saves the building from the undead, life seemed pleasant for a while. He foraged for food, looked for people’s things and played the drums. He got it all and was pretty safe. He makes friends with his zombie friends who are stuck in the elevator. But as the days turn into months, the camp fever and mental stress take their toll.
The hero moves from one place to another
In good zombie movies, the heroes move from place to place, smashing heads and living dangerously, occasionally encountering a couple hiding somewhere who are too scared to move, but don’t have the resources to do so. They either take them or kill them, or both. But this film is about the man who created this hole. It’s a very quiet, introspective film that revels in that. There’s a long scene where Sam explores and cleans up his new territory – he barricades himself in an apartment with zombies and collects everything that catches his eye. He makes makeshift drums out of bottles and pieces of cheese.

And he doesn’t talk for long during the movie. It sounds boring, I know. Maybe it’s a good choice for those primarily interested in merciless zombie action at the expense of everything else. If so, I definitely recommend checking out Battlestar Galactica, in theaters now. It’s available on Amazon Prime and is aimed more at family subscribers, but I didn’t find it boring at all. The great thing about this show is that it doesn’t explain anything to us. When weird things happen, Sam and I find out what’s going on and there’s always something to think about or notice. It’s also character development, as we see how Sam’s isolation slowly affects him, but we never know exactly where it will lead him, what he will do or even what he should do. Yes, there are action scenes.
For the audience, up until the end, when it comes to
If you like to imagine scenes and think about what you would do in such a situation, this movie is a good example. None of these paths seem obvious. It’s dangerous on the outside and internal resources become scarce. I have to say that the film didn’t go where I first expected it to go, but it was incredibly rewarding that it finally got there. The thread is so obvious that it doesn’t allow us, the audience, to see the clues until the end, but once we know them we are completely open to expressing our opinion. It’s a well-worn theme – especially in zombie movies – but it unfolds with refreshing honesty.
There is no loud philosophy
Simple and small, but much more intelligent and compassionate than other products. The film shows its work and ends on a sobering rather than philosophical or triumphant note, and seems to tell the story of a lonely man in a coherent and convincing way in a short space of time. Zombies for introverts. I’m a fan.
The film is neither useless nor pretentious
The lead actors are good. I have never seen a Norwegian actor before. I kept my nerves and wondered many times what would have happened if a great actor had played this role. It could have been a great acting career. Not that anything was missing, but the story could have been developed further if someone had taken on this great acting challenge. The camera work is nothing spectacular or artistic, but a few shots caught my attention. The simple, unobtrusive framing and use of colour fit the style of the story. I think this film was made on a relatively low budget, but it works well. The use of practical effects, especially on the zombies, makes it hard to tell if CGI was used in the film enjoy Hollywood movies and series in Hindi dubbing without any problem on moviesverse.
The climax was beyond my imagination
Excellent quality across all effects. While there are not endless subplots in the film, there are plenty of them and in some cases unknown ones, making even the smallest skirmish intense and exciting. The climax of the film is beyond imagination and skillful design.
