Summer is the season of outdoor games and energetic activities. Although, not for everyone. Summer can also end in drowsiness and insomnia. Due to the hot weather, children and adults even, get sunburns and heat strokes. When the sleep schedule messes up, it disturbs health as well as mood. The weather gets sticky, sweaty, and exhausted when it takes weeks for summer rains to arrive. The season gets unbearable between June and July, with heat and humidity tiring us all. Sleep is an essential process for the body to charge up and if it fails to do so, then it is poorly detailed. Here are five perfect steps to adopt a healthy sleep schedule in summer and maintain it throughout the season.

Bedding Essentials

It is time for the perfect summer hot and cold comforter and duvet cover sale online. Shove those blankets, quilts, cushions, extra pillows in the attic to create a light environment. Warmer bedding makes it difficult to adjust in the hot season. You can switch to a less thread count bedsheet for easy ventilation of air and fabric. Similarly, get cotton covers for your pillows. Velvety and silky fabrics make you sweat while you sleep, hence disturbs throughout the night. Keep the bedding as light as possible, eliminating every wintery item. Once you are comfortable with your bedding, move forward to the atmosphere for sleep.

Shut off the Daylight and Heat

Our bedroom curtains in summer are light and airy, mostly of white net and embroidery for design. The warm air crossing in the room will suffocate you if you try opening up the windows even! For a comfortable sleep environment, it is better to add an insulating membrane between the hot windows and the curtains. You have to choose dark-colored light fabric curtains in summers to block the heat coming from the closed windows. It takes up a lot of heat from outside if you let hot winds come inside the room. You have to close the windows shut and droop the curtains down for some darkness to sleep peacefully in. Daylight crashing in your room will never let you sleep.

Air Conditioning

The best thing in summer is the blessing of AC in our homes. If you still are unsure about what AC to purchase to balance the rising bill prices of electricity, go for invertors or energy-saver ACs, as they are much better than any other form of other electricity-consuming appliances such as multiple fans. You can also get yourself a cooler for your room, but keeping its water level full, noisy fan that irritates you while you try to sleep and electricity charges can be tiring. Air conditioners are just perfect to remove all unnecessary appliances for cooling your room for some peaceful sleep.

Take a Bath or Shower

Cool off in a bathtub and relax for a while. According to a scientific fact, it becomes easier for a person to sleep after taking a cool bath. Avoid too hot or lukewarm showers in summers as instead of lowering the body temperature, it raises it. Put your favorite bubbly bath bombs or essential oil and bath salts for a cooling effect on the skin.

Wear Light Clothes

Summer is a sensitive season when it comes to skin problems such as rash, pigmentation, and itch after sweat. Wear cool clothes made of cotton or the thinnest of linen in summer to avoid such conditions. Similarly, too much sweat and itch can keep you up from sleep. Wear comfortable and light apparel for sleeping.

It was all about maintaining a sleep schedule in Summer.
