Working in Saudi Arabia implies a division of vacancies into “female” and “male”. As you know, a woman in this country does not have the same rights as in Russia, and therefore the list of possible places for employment is limited.

Despite the fact that the state is open to foreign workers, at the same time, the authorities set a strict number of quotas. It is possible to find a job exclusively legally, moving is possible only if there is a contract with prescribed working conditions: salary, schedule, the possibility of providing housing, social package, etc. In addition, an employed immigrant has the right to leave the country only with the written permission of the employer.

Finding a job in Saudi Arabia is easy. You can do this yourself or resort to the help of a recruiting agency. Large companies in the country periodically publish announcements on their websites, to which a foreigner with work experience and relevant education can respond. The country has not only large domestic companies, but also branches of international organizations. One of the companies open to immigrants, Saudi Aramco, is licensed to employ women as engineers.

International websites on which employers publish advertisements of open vacancies will also help in finding a job. The most popular ones are:

The easiest places to find work are in cities such as Jeddah, Yanbu and Riyadh. If you do not want to search on your own, you can contact a special agency, but it should be borne in mind that employees will take payment for the work in the amount of 10% of the estimated income for the year.

Types and types of work

As for women, little is allowed: a cashier in a supermarket with a completely covered face, an engineer at Saudi Aramco, a teacher, a gynecologist or a dermatologist. Men have more opportunities. The most common industry for locals and immigrants is the oil industry. It is possible to find a job in an oil company only with a specialized education. Otherwise, you can consider such areas as tourism, IT-sector, construction, medicine.
