Bunk beds are now super versatile. They not only come with stairs or ladders making it easier to get up and down, they also have tons of storage space. Children can spend many hours of the day on their bunk bed, unlit, playing games and pretending to work. When night comes they can rest up in their bunk bed with a warm, comfy glow. What a great way to keep your child active! And when you go away for the weekend they can take their bunk bed with slide in with them.

A bunk bed with a slide is a fun way to decorate and personalize your kid’s room. You can find some awesome ones that have everything from cartoon characters, cars, musical instruments to pictures of their favorite sports teams. The ladder will slide right down and your kids will have a hard time climbing out of bed. It’s such a great way to transform a boring room into a creative play area for the kids.

There are two types of bunk bed with slides: the built-in and the freestanding models. Built-in beds have a built-in platform where the ladder can be slid. Some models also have a built-in pulley system that can raise the bed from either side. The freestanding models are the same as the built-in ones except that they are not attached to a platform. These are the most popular bunk beds for kids and there is not much difference between them other than the fact that one has a built-in platform and the other does not.

When looking at different bunk bed with slides, there are a few things you should look for. If you can afford it you might want to consider a built-in ladder. Most of the slides that come with these beds are built into the sides of the bunk beds. This is a great feature, especially if you or another sibling will sleep on either side. The built-in ladder will only allow one person to climb out at a time which will prevent any accidents. These features tend to cost more money but can provide safety and comfort for all parties involved.

Another feature that you may want to consider is whether you prefer a canopy or open mesh over the top of the bunk bed with sliding doors. Both types can provide a lot of security, privacy and ventilation but the open mesh is better for older children or teenagers who like to sleep in the open and see everything around them. It is also easier to clean since all you have to do is remove the mesh and wash it down.

When choosing a bunk bed with slides consider the set-up area of the bed. You will need at least two feet of clearance on each side of the bunk bed to be able to slide comfortably. At the very least you will need three feet of clearance on either side. There should also be enough room between the bunk bed set-up and the wall to allow a small child to stand up and walk comfortably without hitting the set-up or the wall. A bunk bed set-up that is longer than six feet can put a child in a vulnerable position when they are sleeping and is not equipped to protect their head from impact.

You will also need to take measurements of your bedroom so that you know the size of a bunk bed set-up you need. Measure from the top of the bunk bed to the top of the ceiling. For the set-up to be secure you will need at least two feet of clearance on either side of the bed and at least four feet from the floor to the top of the ladder. If the ladder has a railing attached to it, make sure that there is still plenty of space for the child to climb up safely.

A triple bunk bed can be a safe choice if the beds are set up properly and there are no significant gaps between the bottom bunk and the top bunk. The sets can be high enough to allow a small child to climb up safely and to reach the top without hitting the side of the bed or wall. Make sure that there are no hazardous materials that could be present in the bunk, such as loose boards that could prove very dangerous. Most bunk beds are constructed using either board frames or solid wood, but there are many bunk bed sets available that are made using other materials that might be more appropriate for your children. The safestĀ  kids bunk with steps are those that are made using solid wood or a board frame with railings on the sides.
