The coronavirus cases are increasing day by day and without a vaccine, the healthcare institutions and hospitals can’t control the cases. As we don’t have an approved vaccine right now, we need to take some protective measures to keep ourselves safe from this pandemic. Tip 1: Wear a face mask

To protect yourself, we need to wear face mask particularly when we go outside because this helps us to minimise the spread of the virus by preventing droplets people breathe out and cleaning some of what they breathe in. We must wear mask particularly when we go in poorly ventilated and crowded areas.

The doctors advise us to wear mask correctly and clean our hands before we put it on and ensure that the mask fits tightly over our nose, chin and mouth. If your nose is not covered, you are giving the virus a way for infection.

Tip 2: Avoid going to crowds and maintain social distance

To face this pandemic firmly, we need to avoid going to crowded places and avoid making close contact with others. We should spend more time at home and spend quality time with family. We should avoid going to public places because when people talk and shout, they send small respiratory droplets into the air. If any of the droplets is infected, we can get infected. According to the World Health Organisation, it is recommended that we should stay 6 feet away from others to protect ourselves from infection.

The risks of coronavirus are more in those spaces that are insufficiently ventilated and require more time from us. The doctors and healthcare workers advise us to wash our hands to minimise the spread of coronavirus. We need to wash our hands at least 20 seconds and we can also keep hand sanitisers in our pockets and use it time to time.

If we feel the need for sneeze or cough, cover the nose and mouth with a tissue and dispose of the tissue in the dustbin at the very moment. If we follow this tip, we protect not only ourselves from the coronavirus, but also protect our families and loved ones from this pandemic.

Tip 4: Try to work online

If you get a chance to work from home or work online, you must take this opportunity from both hands.
