The 9 Gems Scholarship or the 9 GEMS Holistic Development Scholarship is a scholarship program offered by the Global Indian International School. It provides scholarship opportunities to promising students who have shown distinction in any of the 9 Gems skills.

Here are some details of the 9 Gems Scholarship: 

  • Scholarship Eligibility: There are three categories for this scholarship, such as:
  • Category A: Students who have achieved recognition in any international event in any of the 9 GEMS skills will get a 9% off on tuition fees.
  • Category B: Students are recognized in any national event in any of the 9 GEMS skills and will get a 6% off on tuition fees.
  • Category C: Students who have achieved recognition in any state event in any of the 9 GEMS skills will get a 3% off on tuition fees.
  • Applicable Grades: This scholarship opportunity is available to students from Grade 6-12.
  • Scholarship Tenure: This scholarship is valid for one year. After the tenure ends, students can reapply for the scholarship.

What are the eligibility criteria for the 9 Gems Scholarship?

All applicants should pass the scholarship test and interview (if applicable). Additionally, here is a list of the eligibility criteria that an applicant must fulfill to avail of the 9 Gems Scholarship awarded by GIIS:

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen and a student of GIIS.
  • The applicant must be a student from classes 6-12. Students from other grades are not eligible to apply for the 9 GEMS scholarships.
  • Students who have received National, International, or Regional recognition, in the fields of sport, co-curricular activities including visual and performing arts, community service, innovation, and entrepreneurship, OR showed extraordinary leadership skills are eligible to apply.

  • Global Citizen Scholarship: Get between 75-100% off on tuition fees with this scholarship. Students obtaining 93.0% – 94.0% and above in CBSE / ICSE / State Boards / Other Boards Students  or those students who have scored A* in 8-9 subjects in IGCSE/GCSE “0” Levels are eligible to apply. 
  • Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Global Skills Scholarship: Get between 3% – 9% with this scholarship. Students should be national or state-level rank holders in competitions in the digital space.
