Sapno Ki Chhalaang is a tale of a girl from today who’s determined to succeed in her dream business and has a simple question: Why can’t she travel with her Sapno Ki Chhalaang to an unknown city to achieve this? The main character Radhika played by Megha Ray, hopes to inspire others who want to break through these boundaries and make a fresh direction for themselves when they leap of faith and move to a different city.
With a background in Bollywood films and television shows, Kashish Duggal is now poised to leave her mark in the understated yet crucial character of Suman Yadav, a devoted mama who’s her child’s most loyal fan. When asked about what she finds in nature, Kashish shared, “Playing Radhika’s mother is not from the person I am.
As a mom, I fear and worry about many things, but believing in their goals is crucial, and I would like to provide my child with every chance to grow and pursue their desires. Mothers are their daughter’s first confidants. And when she develops into a woman, she will stand close to her, ready to assist if she falls. In a statement about the character, Kashish added, “Radhika’s mother is much like the mothers of GenZ/millennial kids who realize that their fears and anxieties will always be essential, but we must be confident that our daughters are not more or less our boys. I am awestruck by my character, which is written so profoundly, and I can comprehend the mentality of a mother whose child is ready to transition into adulthood. I hope that viewers will appreciate the show. It is a unique story that is dear to my heart.”
Self-realization, at times, takes time. Similar to Megha Ray. Her story could be the basis for a compelling film script from being a brilliant student, becoming an engineer with a job that pays well, and finally leaving everything behind to become a full-time actress and performer. The actress, who plays Radhika in the production Sapno Ki Chhalaang all episodes, which is being produced by Nilanjana Purkayasstha as well as Herumb Khot’s Invictus T Mediaworks, talks about her journey to becoming an artist.
I was studying to become an artist and dancer. People who study academically view their passion for art as their pastime. However, as I got older and began working for a company, I realized that science was a passion for me. What followed the culmination was the pressure of society on expectations. She explains how she gradually escaped it.
“Deep in my soul, I always wanted to be an actor, but I didn’t speak that out loud because it’s not common for someone who’s exceptionally academically and excelling at work to quit suddenly and pursue a career similar to this. I’m from a family where everyone is involved in Education, but no one has any connection to the business. But I realized I’d regret not having to make it clear. I wasn’t looking forward to more advanced studies like the expected MBA. I clarified that this was the direction I’d like to follow. My parents were stunned, but I knew what I wanted to do. I slowly built it up and didn’t make a big deal in one go. I made sure that the result was that I didn’t overburden them. I also was doing fashion blogging during weekends and making cash from it. I left the job after it was secure, and I earned profits from the brands I worked for,” she adds.
Being a newcomer at the time, it was hard. Megha was aware of it and was prepared for the most challenging situations. This process of thinking helped.
“Initially, I was aware that it was going to be difficult. I’d look at the long lines for auditions held in Aram Nagar. When you get to the audition, your makeup is smeared with sweat. When you’re going to audition, it’s a challenge because you don’t know what’s expected from you. I once was told that I was selected to play the lead role, but when I arrived at the set, I came to learn that they had changed the role,” she shares.
However, this was not the first, nor was it the final. This was an interesting incident since I could not quit my job but was offered a tiny part because I might not even be seen. The company was a huge name, and I wondered how it performed. I’d never seen cameras on a set, shoots, or an actual set. I realized at the time that I might have underestimated myself. I should not say yes to everything. I decided to take on things that I feel are important to me. Within a couple of months, I sat for an audition for a show on TV for the first time, and I was successful,” she adds.
For those who have dreams of acting, Megha urges them to get their Education completed first, especially if money is not a significant obstacle. Megha explains the reason, “Education is not just about traditional subjects. It can be any area that you are interested in. Even in acting, staying informed and aware of different performance styles is important. I guarantee you that you will enter the stage confidently and confidently. Complete comprehensive training will help you find improved communication when on set. Everyone should learn in the amount they can able to manage.”
