Umrah is a sacred non-binding religious obligation performed by millions yearly. There is no specific time for Umrah, unlike Hajj, which can be done any time of the year. Different Umrah packages are available daily, including seven days, ten days, 14 days, etc. Of these counted days, pilgrims’ most difficult task is time management for Umrah. In these short days, they want to do everything and want to do more Ibadah, Nawafil, and supplications. As a result, Pilgrims have less time and must do a lot of work. If they don’t use their time properly, they will regret it later because, who knows, Umrah is their only chance to stand before their Lord. Travel for Umrah helps you manage your time in Umrah Packages 2023 by sharing some helpful tips. With the help of these tips, you can manage your time better.

ENTER MECCA

When you reach the limit of Haram, keep reading Talbiyah, create Dhikr, and send Salawat to Prophet ﷺ. In addition, the following Dua should be recited when entering Haram:

اَللَّهُمَّ هَذَا حَرَمُكَ وَأَمْنُكَ فَحَرِّمْنِي عَلَى النَّارِ، وَأَمِنِّي مِنْ عَذَابِكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ، وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ وَأَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ.

Allāhumma hādhā ḥaramuka wa amnuka fa ḥarrimnī ‘ala-n-Nār, wa amminnī min’ adhābika yawma tab’athu ‘ibādak, wa j’alnī min awliyā’ika wa ahli ṭā’atik.

Allah, it is your sanctuary and your safety, so make me illegal in Hell, protect me from your chastisement on the day you revive your servants, And make one of your friends and your people.

After arriving at your rooms in Makkah, you may want to shower or rest before heading to Masjid al-Haram to perform Tawaf al-Umrah. If you decide to take a bath, ensure you don’t use items prohibited in the Ihram state, e.g., scented soap or shampoo. You should report it to Masjid al-Haram as soon as possible.

When you’re ready, decide what you want to bring with you in mind that there are thieves at work in the mosque.

ENTER MASJID AL-HARAM

It is Sunnah to enter Masjid al-Haram through Bab al-Salam (Gate of Peace). If not, you can go through another door. First enter with your right foot and say the invocation to enter a mosque. One of these supplications can be read:

Bismi-llāh, Allāhumma ṣalli alā Muhammad. Allāhumma-ghfir lī wa-ftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik.

In the name of Allah, bless Muhammad. May God bless him and grant him peace. O Allah, open for me the door of Your blessings.

A’ūdhu bi-llāhi-l-Aẓīm, bi-wajhihi-l-karīm, sultānihi-l-qadīm, I-sh-Shayṭāni-r-rajīm.

I seek the protection of Allah the Great, His Noble Face, and His Eternal Sovereign Power against the rejected Shaytan.

NOTE:

Do not perform the Tahiyatul Masjid (mosque greeting prayer) if you intend to; Your Tawaf will suffice as a “salutation” to Masjid al-Haram.

If you do not intend to do the Tawaf immediately, you can do the Tahiyatul Masjid.

In Masjid al-Haram, anyone is allowed to pass by those performing Salah rituals. However, their place of weakness should be avoided.

FIRST LOOK AT KAABA

After entering the mosque, lower your eyes until you reach the Mataf area, where Tawaf occurs. Then, when you are ready, with humility, admiration, and reverence, look up to see the beautiful image of the Kaaba.

When seeing Kaaba for the first time, raise your hand and do Dua with great concentration and sincerity as this is one of the places where prayers are answered. Remember to read Salawat on Prophet ﷺ in Dua. Umar ibn al-Khattab I report:

Recite three times as follows:

Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. La ilāha illa-llāh.

Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest. There is no God but Allah.

It is a Sunnah to recite the following Duas:

اَللَّهُمَّ زِدْ أَهْلَ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ تَشْرِيفاً وَتَعْظِيماً وَتَكْرِيماً وَمَهَابَةً، وَزِدْ مَنْ شَرَّفَهُ وَكَرَّمَهُ مِمَّنْ حَجَّهُ أَوْ اعْتَمَرَهُ تَشْرِيفاً وَتَكْرِيماً وَتَعْظِيماً وَبِرّاً.

Allāhumma zid hādhā-l-Bayta tashrīfan wa ta’ẓīman wa takrīman wa mahābah, wa zid man sharrafahu wa karramahu mimman ḥajjahu awi-‘tamarahu tashrīfan wa takrīman wa ta’ẓīman wa birrā.

Allah, increase this House in honor, esteem, respect, and reverence. And increase those who honor and respect him – among those who perform Hajj or ‘Umrah – in honor, respect, esteem, and purity.

Allāhumma Anta-s-Salāmu wa minka-s-salām, Ḥayyinā Rabbanā bi-s-salām.

Oh, Allah, you are peace, and from you come peace. So give us life, Lord, in peace.

Do Dhikr, do Dua, and send Salawat to the Prophet ﷺ a lot here. Make the most of this opportunity before starting your Tawaf, especially if this is your first time seeing the Kaaba.

NEVER WEAR A WATCH WITH YOU:

Time is completely irrelevant in Umrah as missions normally take a few minutes to complete and would take hours in the honorable Umrah journey. Especially during peak seasons like the holy month of Ramadan when there are a lot of crowds. You may have to wait for hours, so it’s best to leave your watch at your hotel so you don’t notice every aspect and feel frustrated. Be calm and patient on the sacred journey because not only is your real intention and ritual important there, but every little act or act matters a lot. Realize and accept that micro-level time management is impossible in Umrah.

DO NOT INCLUDE UNNECESSARY ELECTRONIC DEVICES:

Remember you’re true purpose in visiting the House of Allah Almighty. Refrain from wasting your time on useless things; never engage in any activity other than worshiping there. Some people, even on a spiritual journey, cannot separate themselves from the world. They carry electronic devices for entertainment. It’s not correct at all. Umrah is a time to reflect and repent, so take advantage of it. Ask your Lord for forgiveness and mercy. See yourself as a spiritual and spiritual getaway, and try to avoid all your mundane connections and electronic devices as much as possible. Beg, cry, beg for mercy, ask for forgiveness, and release all your stress, bad feelings towards others, guilt, and anxiety.

SOCIABLE WITH PEOPLE:

Visiting the House of Allah Almighty is a long-lost memory that greatly impacts your life. Develop good relationships with fellow pilgrims to make it an unforgettable experience and fill your memory bank. People from all over the world gather in one place where they have no worldly difference in caste, color, or race. They are all followers of one God. While you’re there, you can spend a few days with people who share your goals, so develop a positive connection with them. In a few days, they become your family, and even if you don’t get to see them in the future, they will forever be etched in your memory.

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR UMRAH:

As I mentioned, always remember your real purpose in coming to this sacred place. Umrah only lasts briefly, so do your best to exploit it. To avoid oversleeping, before going to Umrah, try to reduce the time you sleep and get into the habit of waking up early in the morning. It will greatly help you in Umrah, and you can manage your time properly. If you overslept, chances are you’re missing out on precious time you’ll never return. Likewise, avoid all hobbies like shopping, camel riding, or visiting shopping malls, etc. your priority should be Umrah; after doing your Umrah, you can buy the things you want for your family and loved ones. Remember, the sole purpose of your divine visit is to make every second count. No one knows better than Allah that this may be your last chance to please Allah Almighty. If you keep this thought in mind, you can manage your time well in Umrah, as most of the time will be spent pleasing and worshiping Allah Almighty.

GOOD FITNESS:

To practice worship more actively, it is necessary to stay healthy. During Umrah, pilgrims have to walk a lot daily and if they are not used to it, they will have difficulty during Umrah time. Therefore, starting walking and light exercise before reaching Umrah is advisable. In addition, you must be physically healthy to perform your Umrah prayers and rituals actively. If it takes you longer to complete the rituals, that destroys your time management, so staying healthy and physically fit is essential.

EAT LIGHTLY:

At the Holy House of Allah SWT, you can eat whatever you want, but remember that the entire Umrah journey can affect your body, so stay hydrated. Eat in moderation and eat less because eating too much makes you lazy. Eat less but sensibly, and drink plenty of water. This will keep you hydrated. If you are sick or dehydrated, you waste your precious time. Remember, this is your golden chance to be innocent, so exercise, spend more time worshiping, and engage less in useless activities.
