Abu Dhabi Launches Desert Driving Routes
A new project for off-road driving enthusiasts has been launched in the capital of the UAE.
Dubai, UAE – The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has launched a new project that will allow adventurers to conduct exciting explorations of the local desert.
The project, called the Abu Dhabi Off-Road Adventure, consists of six routes across rugged terrain in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra and Al Ain, and is designed for adventure seekers who decide to take their own vehicle on a trek or desert safari.
The routes within this initiative have been designed with driving experience in mind and are designed for both beginners and professionals. Each route offers a variety of sightseeing opportunities, including camel and gazelle viewing, unique views of the desert dunes and visits to oases.
Maps of the routes, which include Al Remah, Al Ain to White Sands, Hameem Loop, Umm Al Oush, Liwa Crossing and Al Khaznah, are available from official tour operators and on the Abu Dhabi.
Drivers will be provided with roadmaps and safety instructions. Those without off-road driving experience can take a course from official tour operators to help them enjoy their adventures with maximum safety.
