A new limited-edition Casio G-Shock GA110ALIFE21-8A watch has been unveiled. Alberto Santos-Dumont is remembered and celebrated with the watch from the GA110 series. There are only 21 parts available for each GA110ALIFE21-8A watch, each with a unique number.
Primarily black and white with red accents, the GA110ALIFE21-8A watch features a simple design. Ion-blackened stainless steel makes up both the watch case and strap. White hands and red accents are on the watch’s white dial. Alberto’s Santos-picture Dumont’s may be seen on the watch case’s back.
A two-year battery-life Casio G-Shock Movement powers the GA110ALIFE21-8A watch. The watch features two hundred meters of water resistance and a screwed-down crown. The clock also has a shockproof feature in addition to the magnetic field and shock resistance.
This new Casio Limited Edition watch is a tribute to the life.
CASIO markets the GA110 series as a “unisex” model. However, the GA110ALIFE21-8A, with its black-and-white color scheme and red accents, seems undeniably masculine. Just 21 uniquely numbered pieces of the GA110ALIFE21-8A particular edition model are available. GA110ALIFE21-8A is not a cheap watch but has a Casio G-Shock mechanism and a 200-meter water-resistant certification. It also includes a shock-resistant structure and a screw-down cap. The GA110ALIFE21-8A will be a prized addition to your collection, whether you like watches that are well constructed or are an admirer of Alberto Santos-Dumont.
More than any other watch line, the established Casio G-Shock watch brand has influenced streetwear culture. G-Shocks have been an essential part of streetwear collections for almost as long as the subculture has existed. With the expansion of the G-Shock brand, Casio has developed several partnerships with well-known streetwear brands. The latest design, created in collaboration with skate culture brand Alife, is a starkly monochrome take on one of the label’s iconic styles inspired by the atmosphere of late-night New York City.
A dark and dramatic new chapter in the company’s ongoing interaction with streetwear culture, the new limited edition Casio G-Shock GA110ALIFE21-8A has a sleek concrete grey color scheme, and distinctive aesthetic flourishes.
The Casio G-Shock GA110ALIFE21-8A features a resin shell that measures 51.2mm wide and 16.9mm thick, giving it a hefty appearance on the wrist like the rest of the GA110 series. The case’s light matte grey color scheme, which helps compress and simplify the photographs’ heavy, industrial-inspired angles and ridges, gives the combination of high segments and squared-off cuts a monolithic feeling. The whole contour of the case was molded using a concrete slab, giving it a brutalist appearance. The wide-stepped bezel and signature quartet of knurled pushers for the series improve the appearance of depth in images with the engraved inscription on the bezel. This Casio watch has an engraved Alife logo on the back and a brushed stainless steel case that can resist water depths up to 200 meters.
The quartz Module 5146 internal Casio movement powers the G-Shock GA110ALIFE21-8A. The G-Shock powerplants are all very dependable and flexible, including Module 5146. A perpetual calendar accurate to 2099, a 1/1000-second chronograph, five preprogrammed daily alarms, a 24-hour countdown timer, an hourly time signal, and backlit LED dials are just a few of the complicated features included in Module 5146. Casio promises a two-year battery life and a monthly accuracy of +/-15 seconds. The G-Shock GA110ALIFE21-8A from Casio and a light grey resin strap in the company’s iconic accordion form complete the all-black design inspired by contemporary architecture.
The sleek new gray-on-gray color scheme, unique city-inspired accents, and updated version of the GA110 platform make the new limited edition Casio G-Shock GA110ALIFE21-8A a standout addition to the company’s extensive streetwear collection. While Casio has acknowledged that the G-Shock GA110ALIFE21-8A is a finite edition model, it has not said how many watches will be produced. On May 18, 2022, the G-Shock SoHo Shop will open, and customers may buy the eye there or right away from the manufacturer’s website.
