Same As The Original?
Gamers who have grown up on Diablo 2 are in for a treat as the remastered ‘Resurrected’ has little differences from the original. One of the few negligible changes has been made to the minimap of the game area. Diablo 2 Resurrected is just as tricky and challenging as the original Diablo 2 that came two decades ago. Nothing like revisiting a game you played when you were younger after an eternity. The rehashed version has graphic updates, remastered cutscenes, and a few other changes that were embraced by gamers as much as the original one. ‘Resurrected’ also gives players the option to option to the original and the framerate also has been worked on significantly.
Starting With The Remastered
The game can be a good point for jumping into the diabolical world of Diablo. First-timers can find the game quite difficult as there is obscurity in the instruction. Gamers delving into the world of Diablo will have to get the hang of the game by trial and error. The gameplay of the game is complex so perseverance is the key. There is a learning curve just like most RPGs. The original 2001 game was released for Microsoft Windows and classic Mac OS. The remastered version can be played on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S and X.
Classes Of The Game
One of the many things from the original Diablo 2 that have remained untouched is the playable classes. The choice of class can have a huge impact on the overall experience of the game for the player. Some of the classes are:
- Paladin: Paladin possesses holy magic and a powerful aura. This character is very powerful both while playing solo or in a group. They can inflict high damage and can withstand powerful attacks. With the help of the skill tree, Paladins have a block chance of 75% max block. Paladin has two builds: Hammerndin and Smite Paladin. Hammerdin is the most used build for Paladins. This build gives the best of attack and defence. This build can be very effective when dealing with packs of monsters. The Smite Paladin, on the other hand, deals single-target lethal blows. This means that this build is ideal for a one-on-one faceoff with a boss just like Hammerdin built.
- Sorceress: This build scores high in popularity among the players and it has not diminished even after twenty years of the release of the original. For players who use spells in their gameplay, they will not go wrong with the Sorceress. It has many top-class endgame farming builds as well she possesses a skill that can finish off bosses in the initial stages of the game. This skill is Static Field and it reduces the health of the enemy. The Sorceress possesses the ability of teleportation too. It is the best skill any build can have.
- Necromancer: Veterans of the RPG genre are familiar with summoners. They can be pretty one-note at times and have only one use. Necromancers, on the other hand, can bring skeletons to life and have them fight alongside you. The name ‘necromancer’ is self-explanatory. Other than this, it can also summon golems, make corpses explode and make the experience a rather spooky one. The player can use many Diablo 2 items that the players can pick up to enhance the strength of the character.
The Various Difficulty Levels Of The Game
Difficulties add to the fun factor of any game. Some of the difficulties of Diablo 2 Remastered are:
- Normal Difficulty: This is the difficulty where a first-time player of Diablo 2: Resurrected gets a grip on how the game is to be played and the type of difficulty the upcoming levels have to be played in. There are three levels in the game and all three follow the storyline, path, and quests of the game. The basic requirement of the Normal difficulty is to get an idea of the plot. In this level, the player will have to defeat Diablo and Baal in Act 5. After defeating these bosses, the game can be started from scratch at a higher difficulty.
- Nightmare Difficulty: The Nightmare has some modifications as it is no longer the Normal difficulty. The enemies that the gamer will face have increased health bars and are also stronger. The game has to be completed in Normal mode to be played in Nightmare mode.
- Hell Difficulty: To be able to play the game in the Hell difficulty, the player has to defeat Baal in Act 5 in the Nightmare mode. To play at this level, the player has to make sure that they have all the Diablo 2 items because this level will put the skills of the player to the test.
Conclusion
Diablo 2 Resurrection has won just as much praise from the players who have played the original as from the ones who started with the remastered one. RPG games are different from other games as there are terms to get the hang of and getting used to the mechanics of the game can take some time. The player can fail quite a few times before getting an idea of how the game is played. The player can become a pro through trial and error. It may get a little frustrating but perseverance can go a long way.
