Received an ITA. What Next?

After a candidate receives an ITA, they have 60 days to submit their final Application for P.R. Once an Immigration Officer reviews the Application, they decide if the candidate is Approved for Permanent Resident Status.

What is Express Entry?

The Canadian government uses Express Entry, an online system, to organize and process applications for skilled workers who want to immigrate to Canada and get Canadian permanent resident status. The system is in charge of three major government economic programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
  • Federal Skilled Trades (FST)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

How can I apply for Express Entry?

It takes two steps to apply for Express Entry. The first step is to submit your profile, which will necessitate the submission of the following documents:

– Results of a language test

– Report on Educational Credential Evaluation

– A passport or other kind of travel documentation

Following the submission of your profile and receipt of an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence, you will be required to submit a more substantial application that includes reference letters, additional identity documents, police clearance certificates, and the results of a medical examination.

Who qualifies for Express Entry?

Individuals with university or college degrees, competent job experience, and intermediate English and/or French competence are good Express Entry candidates.

Candidates must complete the eligibility standards for one of three government programs in order to submit a profile using the Express Entry system:

  • Federal Skilled Employee (FSW)
  • Skilled Trades (Federal) (FST)
  • Class for Canadian Experience (CEC)

Do I need a job Offer to be eligible?

Express Entry does not require a job offer. The vast majority of Express Entry candidates do not have an official Canadian employment offer.

If you have a genuine Canadian work offer, you can increase your CRS score by up to 200 points. A qualified employment offer from a Canadian business might earn you 50 to 200 bonus points. Spend time on the Canada Job Bank, private job boards, and social networking sites to interact with Canadian businesses in your profession.
