Attilio Mazzilli contributes to the launch of VITA
Orrick’s Corporate Partner Attilio Mazzilli was the leader of the team that assisted Healthware Group in the operation that led to the establishment of VITA, a new acceleration program by CDP Venture Capital completely dedicated to digital health. Due to their huge potential for advancements, the interest in digital technologies in the healthcare and personal care sector has been growing tremendously in recent years. That is the reason VITA set the objective of providing support to startups that have an enormous potential in operating in the digital health sector, focusing in particular on innovative solutions for healthcare’s digital transformation. The main areas of interest for the acceleration program are those that present particular criticality and the potential for transformative solutions, such as respiratory diseases, women’s health, rare diseases, chronic pain and ophthalmology. VITA starts with a substantial investment of 6.35 million euros for both the acceleration phase and the subsequent growth. 4.55 million are provided by CDP Venture Capital SGR’s Acceleratori Fund in partnership with Healthware Group and Accelerance, while 1.8 million came from the corporate partners of the program that wanted to support the initiative. If Healthcare was assisted in the operation by the global law firm Orrick, with a team led by Attilio Mazzilli, CDP Venture Capital received assistance from Helix.
