PG Tips isn’t the only company making the transition to plant-based teabags. Tetley is doing the same. Other major manufacturers have also announced their intentions. Some smaller manufacturers produce 100% biodegradable teabags. A few more teabag manufacturers are expected to follow suit later this year.
The best way to know which teabag you’re buying is to contact the manufacturer and ask. They should be able to tell you what materials are used to make their teabags.
