Huddersfield is a market town located in West Yorkshire, near the confluence of the River Colne and River Holme. It’s both the largest urban area within Kirklees Metropolitan Borough and its administrative heart.
Huddersfield has a proud industrial past and is home to two prominent rugby clubs – Huddersfield Town Football Club and Huddersfield Giants Rugby League team. Additionally, it was born to British Labour Prime Minister Harold Wilson and international film star James Mason.
Danny Wardês second-half goal was the difference
Huddersfield Town resurrected their survival hopes with an unexpected win at Millwall that moved them four points above the bottom three. Danny Ward, who had been substituted at half-time for Martyn Waghorn, turned in Ben Jackson’s cross to score a goal that shocked all of the play-off contenders.
Neil Warnock’s men moved up to 22nd place in the Championship, three points clear of the drop zone. Millwall remain in play-off contention at sixth.
At various points during the game, The Lions created plenty of chances, including Voglsammer’s header which was deflected behind by Huddersfield goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik in the first half. Bradshaw and Romain Esse both had other opportunities as well.
In the second-half, Huddersfield had several chances to level things up. But Huddersfield remained resilient and Ward’s late goal proved enough for them to secure victory. With their third away victory of the season under Neil Warnock’s tutelage, his men now look much stronger against potential drops.

Neil Warnockês men are four points clear of the bottom three
Huddersfield Town have given themselves a fighting chance of survival after an incredible 1-0 victory at play-off-chasing Millwall on Sunday. Danny Ward’s second-half goal proved the difference, giving the Terriers four points clear of the bottom three with eight games remaining.
Huddersfield have endured an excruciatingly difficult season – they have lost all their top players and won just one of their past 13 league matches. However, hope was raised after Neil Warnock returned to the side in February for a second stint.
Warnock was handed a team that was in the relegation zone with just two wins in 14 Championship matches, yet he has managed to bring them within six points of safety with draws against Reading and Birmingham.
Warnock faces a daunting task ahead, but has an opportunity to save his team after facing West Brom, Norwich and Millwall in back-to-back games. Warnock is eager to take on this challenge and hopes to surprise some of the clubs above him in the table.

Millwallês lead over Norwich has been cut to three
Huddersfield Town have revived their survival hopes after beating play-off rivals Millwall 3-2 at The Den. Tom Bradshaw gave the Lions a 20th minute lead, but two well-worked Canaries corner routines either side of half time changed things around before Gabriel Sara smashed in their third goal just after an hour mark.
At 94 minutes, Norwich rallied with substitute Zian Flemming pulling one back for them. However, Hoolahan advanced and found Hooper who calmly delivered the winner from inside the box.
David Wagner’s side still have a chance to make the top six with just 11 games remaining. Although they remain three points behind Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers, who currently occupy play-off spots, any of the seven remaining teams can still make it happen.
Watfordês victory at Rotherham United
Rotherham United suffered their second loss in four games as they were defeated 2-0 by Watford at Vicarage Road. Matej Vydra’s stunning volley proved the difference, while Adlene Guedioura added a vital second goal shortly after halftime.
Watford put in a strong performance but ultimately had the better of the two halves, going in at halftime with a slim lead. Their dominance was further cemented by David Forde’s stellar saves from Troy Deeney and Vydra early on.
Just before the hour mark, Rotherham levelled through Ferreira who intercepted a loose pass from Leo Hjelde and fired low into the bottom corner.
Taylor’s side made a valiant effort, but were unable to capitalize on their numerical advantage and were made to pay for missteps in the final third as Fosu hesitated to track back to his own goal after being played through by Barlaser. Despite this, Rotherham still fell short and were made to pay for their carelessness in front of goal as Fosu tripped up trying to score after being played through on goal by Taylor.
