Chanterelle. My choice of mushroom, chanterelles grow in large groups and are easy to spot. To tell you the truth, I imagine my summer wasted in vain if I hadn’t filled the roasted chanterelles!

If it is not quality, but the price you are following, then nerds rope mold is your best choice. These mushrooms grow in large groups, usually on tree trunks, and you can collect an entire basket without moving too much. Although they may not be as popular as the ones mentioned above, honey mold is still delicious and easy to cook.
Mushrooms can
be stored for a long time, but you must prepare them first. Each type of mushroom has a specific preparation process, so prepare for googling. Cut mushrooms to dry or boil to store them in your fridge. Still, fresh mushrooms are much better, and there is nothing sweeter than a warm bowl of mushroom soup after a day in the woods!
Lastly, there is something very important. Remember: mushroom hunting is not about who gets the most portions, but rather spending the day with your friends and enjoying the beautiful nature. So, we wish you the best of luck, and we hope you will make great memories of mushroom hunting in Russia!
I really enjoy
sleeping well on the weekends, so when I received the text “Let’s go pick mushrooms on Saturday morning at 7am” I was hesitant at first. But after six years in Russia, this is only the second time. the time when I received such a gift, so I really stood up for the challenge.
First of all, it is important to know that if you have never picked mushrooms before, you should NOT travel alone. You really need to go with someone who has been doing this for years and who knows the local forest and what mushrooms you should look for.
It is actually
a glorious walk in the woods with a bag of goodie (a bucket full of mushrooms) to take home with you! Experts (my Russian friends) say that if there is a heavy rainy season, and then it is hot for a few days, it is time to pick mushrooms! So on this warm Saturday morning, we headed for the forest to pick mushrooms.
While we were driving
a friend started telling me scary stories about picking mushrooms. “So I like to wear rubber boots because sometimes there are snakes in the forest, and they won’t bother you if you wear rubber boots.” I did not sign up for snakes! and, “people often get lost after picking mushrooms in the forest because they are so easily lost.” I did not plan to lose today!
Of course, I did not have the right clothes or shoes. My first time picking mushrooms nerds rope years ago in the woods near a friend’s dacha, and my earliest memories are of repeatedly asking, “Is this edible? What about it? ” but I still do not remember what dress I was given to wear that day.
