How to create the best fresher resume format?
Show your experience
Most employers want to see the difference you can make to their organization. Unfortunately, most freshmen don’t take this into account when writing their CVs or even when applying for jobs.
Try to show what you do and its impact, from your experience as a volunteer to an internship. Use numbers that are as accurate as possible. If you have completed the relevant courses and certificates, you should not miss this important detail.
Proactively promoting your experience is often the single most important factor in getting positive reviews on your resume.
Safe Effective Link
References can have a big impact on your app. They are also an important part of the Application Tracking System (ATS) used by most large organizations. References in a resume format can be of two types: references to someone in the target organization and references to well-known industry experts.
If you are recommended by an existing employee of the organization, your resume has a much better chance of getting you an interview. And if you cite recommendations from well-known industry professionals, your resume is sure to get you interviewed.
Create a one-page resume
In case you didn’t know, there is a generally accepted industry standard for resume page length. Ideally, it should be one page for every 10 years of experience. Since you are about to graduate and have just started working, you really only need one page of your resume.
A one-page resume is not only better organized, it also helps recruiters quickly identify your key skills and select you. Imagine receiving 100 10 page resumes every day. Experiencing this is like reading a 1000 page book!
Customize your resume for the position
Don’t underestimate your skills just because you have no work experience. One technique you can try is to break the job down into 5 different sections and see how you can reflect on your resume that you’ve covered some (or all) of the sections. This greatly increases the relevance of your resume to the hiring manager.
For example, to apply for the role of Junior Software Engineer, you can easily divide it into 5 sections. The first is programming languages, second is algorithmic knowledge, third is quality/scalability, fourth is GIT/JIRA (i.e. implementation tools) and fifth is databases.
Now if you have created a CV that reflects that you are proficient in 3 programming languages, you know well known algorithms and have used implementation tools. This way, you create the new resume format that hiring managers are looking for!
