These entrepreneurs transformed their fields and cultures, amassed enormous fortune, and introduced technologies that continue to impact our lives to this day. There is a depressing reality that every small company owner must come to terms with. Most small firms are unsuccessful, even when favorable economic conditions are good.   1. Jamal Edwards

Jamal Edwards was born in Luton, England, and he resided there for most of his childhood before moving to Acton, located in West London, with the rest of his family. In addition to giving courses at the Journalism Institute at the University of Vienna, where he also manages the media-watch site Kobuk, he is a journalist. In 2016, he was listed in Forbes’ 30 under 30 Europe list.

Daire Hickey is one of Web Summit’s co-founders, now the most prominent tech startup event in Europe. Web Summit’s international events draw everyone from the CEOs of Fortune 500 businesses to the founders of the most cutting-edge new firms. Daire has played a significant role in developing the Web Summit’s relationship with the media. Ben Judah is the director of the Transform Europe Initiative, a senior fellow at the Europe Center of the Atlantic Council, and a writer specializing in international affairs who works out of New York. His current research focuses on the European repercussions of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, transnational kleptocracy, European energy and decarbonization politics, and Britain’s efforts to reset its diplomatic posture following Brexit. He is also interested in the politics of decarbonization in Europe.
