Record clips quickly
Sometimes, you’ll want to start recording as fast as you can. That’s the reason QuikCapture is available. It lets you turn on the camera and begin recording (using the most current preset) by pressing just one button.
If the camera is turned off, press the Shutter/Select button on the right side of the GoPro to switch the camera on and begin recording right away. Hold and tap the Shutter/Select switch for three minutes to start a time-lapse movie.
Put your GoPro into stealth mode
Having your GoPro blink and sound a beep helps let you know that the camera is receiving your pushes and has begun filming. However, you may not need to keep these settings turned on.
Tap downwards from above the screen. Then, swipe left then select the preferences. You can choose General and then Beep Volume. This means you can select Medium, High or Low. It is also possible to completely silence the GoPro by swiping downwards to the upper part of the screen and then tapping the music note icon. If it’s gray, the GoPro is turned off.
To control the LEDs on the front and back of the camera’s back, you need to swipe downwards to the upper part of the touchscreen and then swipe left and select Preferences General, LEDs, and Preferences. You can select from one of the following:
- All On Off
- All Off
- Front Off Only
