 Top beauty trends from the London Fashion Week so far

  1. Hair Flowers

 

Beyonce showcased a new hair trend that gave a fresh spin on the classic bouquet of flowers. Everyone from Anna Paquin to Claire Danes and Michelle Williams followed suit.

 

  1. Lippy Lips

 

The choice of lip colors at Preen and Elizabeth and James stayed classic, but this season’s shade choices caught our eyes! Katy Perry stepped out in a brown lippy, while Julie Bowen wore a super shiny mauve at Cushnie.

 

  1. Hips Don’t Lie

 

We loved this new way to wear the pencil skirt. With designer Mary Katrantzou’s looks, models wore low round high-waist pencil skirts with silver or silver-laced heels.

 

  1. Starburst Eyes

 

This season’s eye trend looked fabulous on Eva Longoria. She wore a pink, metallic eye look that featured sharp black liner and lots of black liquid liner. She paired the eye look with a baggy pink coat and white leather ankle booties.

 

  1. Rise and Shine

 

Speaking of the eye, Tom Hiddleston wore quite a bright look at the New York premiere of Kong. His makeup was done by Rachel Goodwin, who has really mastered the way to highlight the eyes for a totally modern look.

 

  1. Floral Pixie Hair

 

Rachel Zoe’s fashion show featured a few animal prints in the hair as well. One of the most popular looks featured fur pompoms that looked super cute and flirty on the models.

 

  1. Pink and Gold

 

Though most designers used the colors pink and gold to accent their makeup and hair, they could also be combined to create bold, bright looks. One model showed off a jeweled eye and a super bright pink pout paired with a gold bikini.

 

  1. The Long and Lazy Hair Trend

 

Winnie Harlow of Canada’s Next Top Model turned heads with her super long, curly hair that she wore super sleek in the front and into a wavy, bejeweled chignon in the back.

 

  1. Flower Crowns

 

To complete their looks, designers added fresh flower crowns, whether they were of birds, flowers, or cats. From Phoebe Tonkin to Chiara Ferragni, fashion month models showed off gorgeous flower crowns.

 

  1. Bold Blonde Hair

 

And when we say that fashion week hair has taken on a lot of variety, we mean it. One model at Alexander McQueen and at Roberto Cavalli rocked a bright red pixie cut and one at Rosie’s showed off her thick blonde hair.

 

  1. Unbelievable Hair

 

Elie Saab was all about achieving the beauty look of a super high fashion look. There was one model, Adele Ahimgui, whose hair took on the wild, tousled look and went down past the upper thigh. It was completely crazy and totally awesome.

  1. Fashion Jeans

 

Fashion shows showcased a variety of pants, but these pants certainly got the attention. It was pretty hard to miss the new fashion trend in the bright colors.

 

  1. Fashion Faux Leather

 

Fashion lovers will be coming back to see what the latest in fake leather looks like. Many designers featured this fashion trend and paired it with chunky heels. At the Diane von Furstenberg show, we even saw fake leather pants paired with a leather belt and a blazer.

 

  1. Matte Shadow

 

Though eyes were also the focus of the runway, this look at the Mulberry show was one we can see ourselves wearing regularly. The models’ eyes appeared soft and dewy with perfectly painted brows.

 

  1. Pink and Silver Eye Liner

 

Shadows were always a huge part of any make-up look at fashion shows, but the different shades of pink and silver were completely different. At Mulberry, this trend was featured on the lips, too.

 

  1. Colour Blocking Eyeshadow

 

This shade block shadow is different from the eye shadow we have seen in the past and will definitely be around for a while. We loved the soft color-block eyeshadows paired with a silver lip.

 

  1. Long Hair With Simple Hairstyle

 

At the Cushnie show, one model’s hair actually fell all the way to the middle of her back. This trend paired with a slinky look on the top of the head is bound to catch everyone’s eye.

 

  1. Silver Veil on the Bumps

 

Silver sequins went down both the sides of the face, on the cheekbones, lips, and across the back. We love the bright look on the model’s face as well.

 

  1. Festive Crowns

 

During Hester’s show, there was this adorable glittery crown that was quite the statement piece. It certainly caught a lot of attention as it was very colorful and quite memorable.

 

  1. Rose Hair Color

 

Erika Sanchez from Nilih Fashion showed off this gorgeous rose-colored hair that complimented the silver that was paired with her silver eye shadow. It was a very chic look.

 

  1. Perfect Matte Lips

 

This look was a simple pout with a matte color to make it super smooth. The matte lips paired with the silver and brown makeup really set the tone for a dark, dramatic look.

 

 

  1. Rich Lip Color

 

Whether it was the rich color of this lipstick or the over-the-top make-up, this make-up trend caught the attention of a lot of people. The bold lips took one look and turned it into an exciting fashion look.

 

  1. Matte Hair

 

We thought that soft hair was the best part of this makeup trend at the Alexander McQueen show. It looked absolutely amazing with an over-the-top powder pink lip.

 

  1. Small Eye Cat Eyes

 

This make-up trend showcased some colorful eye shadow that went down the inner corner of the eyes, going straight up the outer corner. This was definitely one that caught the eye.

 

  1. Blunt-Nipped Brows

 

Worn with minimal, black lipstick and brown eyeliner, there was a lot of new fashion that came out of this runway show.

 

  1. Very Shiny Lips

Lip colors were always a major part of any make-up look, but we loved this shiny pink lip and the contrast between the makeup and hair. This was one of the newest trends we saw and we hope to see it all over the city.

 

  1. The Biggest Eyes on the Runway

 

Makeup lovers will be coming back for more as we get ready for all the new beauty looks that are constantly changing. With brands like Priscilla Presley and David Lloyd, fashion makes an impression as it offers new ways for makeup lovers to spice up their looks.

 

  1. Bold Lips

 

With black eye shadow that matched with a pink lip, this makeup look was certainly bold. The combination made it look very sultry.

 

  1. Bold Eyeshadow

 

Lights were definitely turned on during this set at the Charles Humberto Castro. Not only did we see a bright collection of eye shadows, but the eyeliner was also quite bold, going up from the eyelid to the brow.

 

  1. Dabbing Make-up

 

Eyeshadow was a major trend on the runways at this fashion show as the looks were smoky and just a tad bit more than a look.

 

  1. Silver Eyeshadows

 

Silver was a very popular shade used on the eyes this season. This shade went on smooth and nicely complimented the silver that was used in the eyes.

 

  1. Big Eye Lids

 

We thought it was interesting that a lot of the models had huge eyes in this one because it wasn’t quite as dramatic as we expected. The eyelids were coated with silver and the liner was pretty bold as well.

 

  1. Clean and Smoky Make-up

 

Wearing a dark blue color on the lips and then a bronze shade to accentuate the eyes, this makeup trend was a very clean look.

 

  1. Beige Lips

 

Worn with a soft pink lip, a brown shade on the eyes, and bright color for the cheeks, this was one of the most natural makeup looks we saw at this fashion show.

 

  1. Black Lips

 

Black was a shade that was a little bit more out there for most of the runway looks at this show. It is often associated with dark eyes but we were surprised to see some pretty cool and new ways to wear this color.

 

  1. Silver Eyeshadows

 

The most noticeable trend was definitely the silver eye shadow that was also used on the eyelids. This was paired with a bit of black to make the eye look quite dramatic.
