Every year, my maternal family gathers at my house or at one of my maternal aunts’ houses for a week. The week always turns out to be very chaotic and loud but it is always marked with joy, bonding, and fun. My mother and her sisters group up to talk about just everything present on Earth and in their lives and my siblings and the cousin’s group up and take up one whole floor of the house for our shenanigans. We make 15 cousins in total, all aged between 13 to 28. The whole week passes by with little sleep, a lot of laughter, endless conversations, and new revelations. When we gather at our house, my father becomes a workaholic for a week. He wakes up, has his breakfast, comes home late for dinner, and goes to sleep. He lives a very calm and silent life for that week. My mother and her sisters become very engrossed in each other and often lose track of time. The cousins, my siblings, and I go out for meals, order-in food, and go for movie outings, game nights, and long midnight drives. For game nights, we prefer to go to Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden. Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden has the best game zone in Tagore Garden! Its game zone is Funky Island. It is located on the third floor and has a variety of arcade games, virtual games, competitive games, team games, shooting games, and racing games.
Funky Island has been our go-to destination when we gather at my house. All the children of the house get in the cars and drive down to Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden. At the mall, we rush to the Funky Island game zone and start exploring different games available there. Some of the younger kids go to the Timezone game zone to play certain games while some of the older kids keep track of time, money, and the children. The game zone has always been the most entertaining place for us. We often go to the game zone for the whole day. We leave our houses at around 12 pm and return by 10 pm. We play at the game zone in the mall, take a break in the food court, play again, eat again and then play again. The whole game zone becomes filled with our family and it becomes amusing to everyone present there. Playing for hours on end at the best game zone in Tagore Garden is not only a feeling of joy but also a feeling of accomplishment.
Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden also houses a multiple-screen PVR movie theatre. It is the best movie hall in Tagore Garden. There are different auditoriums and the service offered to all movie watchers is just excellent. The food offered inside is of top quality, the theatre is neat and air-conditioned, movie watchers can opt for in-theatre food service and the washrooms are always clean and full of all necessary amenities. Even though we do not find enough time to plan a movie outing usually, sometimes if there is a great movie release, we book tickets and take our mothers along with us. It is always amusing to see such a big group of people walk in the shopping mall and the theatre. All of us seat ourselves next to each other and the familiar aura around us makes people turn their heads and enquire about our family. Once, around 19 of us walked into a movie theatre in Mumbai and filled the
small movie theatre completely. Apart from our family, there were only two couples seated in the hall. It was extremely humorous. The funniest part happens when we go to the food section to place our orders in the interval. It usually takes at least two staff members to note down our orders and then a group of them to bring the food to us in the theatre. And then the food travels 2-3 rows continuously because some like to share the food with other cousins. It always makes me laugh.
While the whole week is fun, the most fun we have is definitely at the game zone. We collect our tickets from playing the games and then redeem them at the gift station. Even the staff at the game zone look at us with surprised eyes but most indulge in fun with us and provide us with a great service. Having Pacific Mall, and Tagore Garden near my house is a blessing for us because it does have the best game zone in Tagore Garden!
