It’s another new year again! I know you’re curious about 2022’s fashion trends. Well, gendering tops and bottoms are clearly a thing of the past. Fashion trends can be worn by anyone who enjoys the style. The specificity of women’s trends, such as corset tops, opera gloves, and feather trim provides them clear limitations if you want to reproduce the vibe—however, provides little room for personal styling liking.

Menswear trends, on the other hand, tend to follow broad themes and are thus more widely accessible, with room for individual expression.

While we’re still leaning heavily into the hygge feel in 2022, we’re slowly working our way back to “real” clothes again. In this article, we’ll share with you men’s fashion trends for either staying at home or leaving the house.

1. Black Loafers

You understand the allure of a shoe you don’t have to lace up, whether you’ve succumbed to the seduction of a Birkenstock clog or simply wish you could wear shower slides everywhere. But a pair of robust leather loafers are something you can wear everywhere slip-on footwear you’ve been looking for in 2022.

What’s better? Jeans, twill pants, and flat-front trousers all look excellent with them. You could even pull off an “off-duty Kennedy hanging out at Hyannis Port” look by wearing them with shorts.

2. Robe Style Jackets

You’ll enjoy a robe-style jacket if you have trouble getting out of your “I just wear this to relax at home” robe, especially during the harsh winter months. These coats wrap around the waist like a bathrobe, and the hemline usually falls just below the knee.

For the next winter months, a fur or leather version of the jacket will keep you warm, and I believe that lightweight suede and canvas variations will be all over in spring.

3. Turtleneck Knits

Know Bachelor Matt James? Yes, he’s from season 25 of The Bachelor. Matt James likes wearing a turtleneck on nearly every date. He deserves some credit for the turtleneck trend that is currently sweeping men’s fashion. Matt made a wise fashion choice by wearing a turtleneck, which looks great on almost everyone and can be layered under any jacket.

Designers like Etro combine patterned, colourful, and cropped turtlenecks in one presentation, ensuring that you can’t go wrong with this trend as long as you’re wearing a turtleneck of some form.

4. Sleeveless Life

A lot of us have been enjoying the sleeveless trend for a while, so don’t be surprised if we’re repeating ourselves! The trend was initially seen when a slew of designers, including Prada and Marni, began exhibiting tidy sweater vests, while Riccardo Tisci recently dedicated his whole menswear collection to the power of an exposed bicep.

The trend has gone into overdrive for the Spring/Summer 2022 season, with sleeveless knitted numbers seen at Erdem and Paul Smith, smart waistcoat styles worn with nothing else walked at Courrèges and Giorgio Armani and tailored sleeveless blazers and biker jackets proving quite the thing at Burberry, where the trend was at its strongest.

5. Anti-Fit

Anti-fit is just another term used to describe large and relaxed shapes. This fashion trend stems from the desire for comfort in today’s society. Do you enjoy wearing your large jersey around town? You can now!

6. Androgynous Fashion

Androgyny refers to the shared ambiguity between masculine and female personalities. This can be turned into genderless fashion in terms of fashion. In other words, androgynous fashion is defined by a lack of gender roles and limits, as well as gender identities.

This trend is more about personal style and how you utilize clothing to express your values.

7. Ethical or Sustainable Fashion

This comes from a point of moral consciousness, just as sustainable fashion comes from a place of environmentally friendly manufacture. Working conditions in factories, fair wages, a no-sweatshop policy, and suitable hours are just a few of the numerous components of ethical design.

Fashion that is both ethical and sustainable can be found under the same roof as a transparent and morally sound business model.

8. High Street Fashion

Another relatively new trend is high-street fashion. This outfit is a mix of edgy streetwear clothing and high-end couture. In other words, it’s inexpensive, widely available, and attractive mass-produced apparel.
