Happy Monkeys is a registered charity that was established with more than 50 years of expertise as a pioneer in monkey welfare and conservation, environmental education, and long-term practice. Primate conservation is a top priority for us, and we’re dedicated to doing everything we can to safeguard non-human primates.

With an international reputation for high levels of care and innovative management approaches, The Monkey Sanctuary in Cornwall serves as our sanctuary for monkeys who have been rescued from abusive or neglected environments. Together with other groups, we aim to influence local and national policy to improve the lot of the world’s primate population. More than 30,000 visitors and students are educated each year about our work by our staff and volunteers.

To carry out our mission, our organization relies solely on donations from the public.

Our animal rescuers are now on the road, attending to as many emergencies as possible. They are on their way. Happy Monkeys is devoted to providing every rescued monkey with the emergency care and love they need. But without the help of thousands of people like you, none of this would be possible. Only by working together will we be able to rescue abandoned Monkeys and other harmed animals. As a result, we need your assistance today.

Animal welfare and Compassionate Conservation are two of our core values. For the sake of all animals, whether they are in captivity or the wild, we strive around the clock to prevent their suffering and exploitation.

In our view, wild creatures will no longer be exploited by people in the future. Animals in captivity and the natural world should be treated with respect and allowed to live out their lives following what they need.

Leading wildlife charity, we oppose the exploitation of wild animals in captivity and advocate for their preservation in the wild.

We advocate for Compassionate Conservation to increase the chances of endangered species surviving in the wild and maintaining natural ecosystems while also considering the particular needs and well-being of the animals.

To safeguard animals and their habitats for future generations, we aim to impact animals in the wild and preserve their ecosystems positively.

From the beginning, we’ve advocated for a future where humans and animals may coexist peacefully and where threatened and endangered species are safeguarded for future generations.

Our goal at Happy Monkeys is to select and breed only the greatest Capuchin and Pigtail Monkeys. Because they were raised alongside our other pets and our children, they’re the ideal exotic pets—just a few of the traits and behaviors that we experience daily.

There are ups and downs in the monkey’s life. In many respects, monkeys are like us. They can form close friendships as well as fierce rivalries. Each of them cares for and supports the other. Even if a monkey organization’s leader is removed, he will show signs of despair. It’s simple to detect the similarities between their conduct and our feelings when watching them.

Unlike other primates, monkeys have a complex social structure. They each have a unique relationship with each of the other participants. They can remember their previous encounters and create new friendships when they meet again.” People can be angry with past rivals if they are placed in the wrong area of the jungle. Conflicts like these can be deadly.

Monkeys can also remember the kindness of a friend. Taking care of one’s appearance demonstrates one’s affection and regard for fellow human beings. Monkey friends are more inclined to aid you or clean up the mess after a battle with one of their own.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us care for the animals at our sanctuary. We are forever thankful. Please consider making a donation or donating in any other way. Your help is vitally needed and deeply appreciated. At Happy Monkey, each monkey has its personality, favorite pastimes, food preferences, washing routines, and social habits.
