On Thursday, authorities approved the launch of a unique bus service in which seats can be reserved using the Uber app. The decision was made public during a meeting here that was presided over by the CEO of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) (GMDA).
A single bus will operate on each of the routes Badshahpur Bus Stand-Huda City Centre Metro Station and BPTP Astaire Garden Sec 70-DLF Cyber Park Shankar Chowk for the first nine months of the special bus service’s nine-month test programme.
According to GMDA CEO Sudhir Rajpal, “This unique partnership with UBER for reserving Seats in Gurugaman buses will be a unique milestone for the public transportation service not just in the city but in the entire country.”
