As a new artist, radio advertising can be really challenging without the support record label.
It can be really tough especially if you are an independent musician regardless of your talent.
However, since the inception of Glacer FM, there has been quite a huge transformation in the independent music industry.
By offering a wide variety of services in addition to radio airplay, interviews and more, artists can now get featured as well so as to advertise their music stores on Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer, with just a few clicks!
What is Glacer FM?
The Internet has provided the fastest and most convenient means through which information can be instantly shared throughout the world. This had led to the prominence of internet radio with the advantage that it presents no geographical limitations to broadcasting.
Glacer FM is a music station founded to step in as a bridge making it possible for unsigned and independent artists with no real connections or financial support to get a fair chance to showcase their music to the world on a legitimate internet radio station.
Music has a great ability to connect with people since it is one the most powerful forms of art and this can be easily achieved through music radio. However, the majority of those benefiting from this exposure are the established artists who have more connections being signed to the major record labels.
The lesser known artists with lesser influence are sidelined because they do not have the required budget for advertising through radio promotion campaigns.
effectively target music fans in their genre through services at the lowest possible advertising costs giving a fair chance to the most talented independent musicians with no real connections or financial support to showcase their music to the world.
Thanks to votes casted by a committed panel of judges as well as music fans throughout the world, Glacer FM seeks to find the most appealing songs in every music genre through its music charting system.
They play a variety of music genres from classical, reggae, Jazz, Blues, alternative, dance, and urban music to the cultural music genres. In order to enhance diversity, listeners equally get access to a wide range of programs in every niche from news to sports, comedy, entertainment and more in the form of podcasts or live shows. Their podcasts are equally made accessible throughout the year, on demand 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
The Glacer radio team works to select a wide range of programs that could entertain all audiences of different ages through diverse digital coverage. They are equally a playlist for the people and by the people in that the song choices are ones entirely requested by listeners worldwide.
Glacer FM has multiple channels, however, my favorite is Glacer Underground FM, that gives every artist a chance showcase their talent to their global audience. The peculiarity with this channel is that the music played is not pre-screened by their team and it allows the listeners to decide on the music they love.

Here are a few notable key features
1. A rapidly growing audience
Listeners are quick to recognize and adhere to good work. A majority of internet radio stations do not put in the necessary efforts to get content that will please their fans. From my point of view this is Glacer FM’s greatest competitive advantage.
2. A professional technical department
Glacer FM boasts of having amongst the greatest experts in technology as part of their staff. From speed to quality to design and engineering, they have got everything geared at providing an unmatched experience for visitors.
3. A professional content curation team
Glacer FM’s team of industry professionals work day and night to ensure a smooth and enjoyable listening experience for their listeners. From the podcasts to the music being played, all content goes through a stringent music screening and selection process . Songs or shows that pass this process are then placed top tier during the peak hours on their main lists.
4. A competitive and rewarding atmosphere for artists
Greater competitiveness creates an atmosphere for more productivity and better quality of work. The artists who desire to get recognition for their works have to put in more efforts to stay at the top thus creating a better image for the independent music industry.
Glacer FM’s music charts also helps industry professionals who are looking to recruit upcoming bands for their labels or other opportunities as well. The Listeners Choice Award is an annual event that seeks to recognize the best artists in all music categories. The award is broadcast live on their stations each year. Thanks to the wisdom of the crowds, only the most deserving artists are able to earn an award.

You are automatically entered to participate on the listeners choice awards giving you the chance to be on the spotlight and seen by industry professionals who can help you create connections to build your music career.

Final verdict
It is no doubt that Glacer FM has successfully revolutionized the independent radio industry.
However, this has equally attracted so much hatred from the competition as many are not happy with it. The general practice is for unsigned artists to be treated shabbily as the belief is that they are broke and cannot afford a decent service. Very few are prepared to do proper financial investments run a classy platform and would rather take to destroy what has been built already as it discredits their poor work.
Proof is that a defamatory negative article tagging Glacer FM as a scam has been published by a member of the competition by name Charlie Smith on Oct 26, 2021 in which false claims where made so as to sabotage their efforts.
One of the topics raised was in the article reference to payola. This accusation does not hold because as per FCC law payola is the illegal secret payment to saturate a particular song or artist on the live broadcast as regular airplay. At Glacer FM paid plays are totally distinguished from regular spins and paid advertising is announced as such.
Secondly, Glacer FM is private initiative and neither regulated by the FCC nor funded by the state
To sum it all up, Glacer is 100% legitimate and not a scam because they do deliver their services as promised. Just like with the traditional terrestrial radio promotion services, everyone who has actually tried their service is happy with their delivery.
