Cristal Carrington has been passionate about music from a young age. Since her childhood, she has listened to numerous collections and became a fan of all the genres. Besides music, Cristal also pursued her career in writing, which gained her interest and made her passionate about becoming an author too. As of today, she has published books and released her solo projects. Like Carrington, anyone who wants to pursue their career in their passionate field needs to stay true to the path. One such example is Cristal Carrington.
Carrington was born on February 7 in East Meadow, New York. Cristal’s great part of childhood was spent between Hempstead, NY, and Roosevelt, NY, a hamlet located on Long Island. While spending years with her parents, she listened to numerous genres and became fascinated by a variety of rhythms, including blues, Latin, hip-hop, and soul. In 1993, she attended Roosevelt Jr-Sr High School to learn academic music and studied classical woodwind production. In the meantime, she was also engaged in observing South American rhythms and beat structure, including salsa and pop. She also listened to a variety of genres. In addition, Carrington started singing and improvising on Latin and African music. Carrington’s music philosophy is to create a bridge between various music styles, including pop and EDM.
Carrington moved to Washington DC in 2005 and began her career while working as a college promotions internee for Universal Records at the University of DC. In the meantime, she also studied graphic design at the university. She promoted various roaster artists to college students during her internship, including Remy Ma, Chamillionaire, Maino, Lil Wayne, David Banner, and Yummy Bingham.
Cristal Carrington also started her career in the writing field. She continued writing and got the position of DC Cocktails Examiner at Examiner.Com. Some of her writings are published in The Washington Post and USA Today.
Carrington also interned at FM station WPGC 95.5 and worked as the Albie Dee Show producer. She also worked as a background actor for Volkswagen Pink Beetle (commercial) and House of Cards (TV Show). In 2014, Carrington composed a mixtape, Radio Ruckus Vol 1, based on artists from the United States and the UK. In 2020, she released her first solo project, SOLO.
By late 2020 and 2021, she released some more pieces of music, including See You Dance, I Believe In Your Love, Boss Sauce, Scorpions Alive, Be A Star, Loving From The Back, Another Way Of Life, Running Out of Time, and many others.
