Sincerity dictates that I don’t “understand” hip-hop music. I don’t listen to music for the beats or the hook when I’m listening to it. I keep my ear out for any words.
Hip-narrative hop’s component intrigues me, as do its parallels, funny cultural allusions, and lyrics that are blatantly honest. For instance, one of the main reasons I adore 21Savage so much is that in one of his songs, he made reference to Randy Macho Man Savage, my all-time favourite wrestler.
People don’t understand Biggie and Tupac in this way. They spoke about actual life, which is one of the main reasons they are considered all-time greats. They were being honest. They exposed themselves.
I’m going to share some tips for hip hop music video promotion that want to rule the music business in 2022 in this article. from the viewpoint of someone who is familiar with human attention and conduct.
1. DO MORE COLLABORATIONS
Because they enable you to “swap fans” with other artists, collaborations are extremely important. especially if they fall outside of your core target audience.
One of my most important pieces of advice for rappers is to work with a country musician the next day. Get a Latin trap singer to perform the track’s hook. Reach out to R&B stars who were popular ten to twenty years ago.
People greatly underrate how important something is.
Reflect on it When Run DMC and Aerosmith collaborated, the hip-hop genre as a whole advanced significantly. The importance of Kendrick Lamar’s partnership with Taylor Swift to his success is generally underappreciated.
Only one asterisk is present. It must be genuine.
2.PUBLISH AS MUCH MUSIC AS POSSIBLE.
The best piece of advise I can give artists is to release new music each and every day.
Because they don’t want to compromise their craft, most artists err on the side of caution. However, consider this:
People primarily recall the hits. The other things are forgotten. There is no loss if you release 100 songs in a row and 70 of them fail to gain popularity. Only popular tunes will remain in people’s memories.
So having 100 “at bats” has a lot of benefits for creative artists. To reach the proper individual and advance your career significantly, all it takes is one song. The drawback is virtually nonexistent.
3. HIT UP VLOGGERS TO FEATURE YOUR MUSIC
Remember all the musicians that became famous because Madden or NBA Live’s intros would always use one of their songs?
The same is true for vloggers. Send a DM to every prominent vlogger with a video that has gotten over 100,000 views and offer them your music for free to use in their vlogs. The best form of word-of-mouth is having an influencer listen to or endorse your music.
Three years from now, some random individual (who just so happens to be the executive at a major record company) may come across the episode where your song was included, and it will undoubtedly transform your life.
4. STAY FOCUSED AND CONSISTENT OVER THE LONG TERM
I’m totally addicted to long-term thinking. You must begin weighing legacy vs. currency when making judgments about music, business, or anything else.
I don’t care about owning things, personally. The phrase “keeping up with the Joneses” doesn’t interest me. I never made a choice based on how much money I could make, not even when I didn’t have much. I was okay as long as I could pay my rent and other essential expenses.
I just feel that every time I “cash in chips,” I’m just slowing down my progress toward becoming an all-time successful entrepreneur with a significant legacy.
Legacy and cash are the sole concepts.
We are aware that Jay-Z appeared in a Budweiser ad.
The main thing, in my opinion, is to never stray from the truth. Even if I have all of the money and none at all.
Nobody should feel under any obligation to be anything other than who they are. Just be aware that every time you pursue short-term gain, a few “pebbles” are removed from your legacy.
