What is the cost of an urgent visa for India?
For urgent India visa applications, an additional €17.50 will be charged. This amount is in addition to the usual visa price of €19.95 per person. Payment of fees can be made quickly online by credit card, Visa card, Mastercard, or PayPal.
What is the difference between a “normal” request and an urgent request?
All India visa applications (urgent or not) are first checked by a French-speaking visa specialist, in order to detect the most common errors. The check covers, for example, the compliance of the digital identity photo and passport scan with the required requirements. All passport details entered in the application form will also be checked to ensure that they are 100% correct. If obvious errors are discovered, they will be corrected immediately. For a “normal” request, this check is carried out within a few days. When travelers use the India visa rush procedure, screening takes place almost immediately, even during off-hours, weekends, and public holidays.
As soon as the French-speaking visa specialist has judged that the application form has been correctly completed and that all the documents provided are in order, the application will be submitted to an employee of the immigration office (in India) for examination. From this moment, it is no longer possible to influence the processing time in any way, which is on average 3 working days.
Is the visa delivery time guaranteed?
On average, an urgent issuance takes place within 3 working days from the moment the form has been completed, payment has been made and the passport photo and digital copy of the passport have been provided. However, the immigration office does not offer any guarantee as to the delivery time. In rare cases, an urgent India visa application may also be delayed. This happens, for example, when the application form indicates that a traveler intends to spend a night in a place that the immigration office has identified as problematic. This may already be the case if, in the past, other travelers have spent the night in this place and have not complied with certain (visa) rules.
How to Get 10 Year Indian Visa for US Citizens
In order to obtain a 10-year Indian visa, US citizens will need to gather the following documents:
- A completed India Visa Application Form (this can be done at an Indian Mission).
- A valid passport, with at least 6 months of validity remaining and 2 completely blank pages.
- Evidence of their plan to travel to India. This should be computer-generated.
- Proof of residence in the United States. They can use a color copy of a driver’s license or a recent utility bill.
- A recent passport-size photo clearly shows the front of the applicant’s face.
Travelers applying for this visa will also be required to pay the India travel visa fee before they can submit their applications.
