Alejandro  Garnacho’s late strike at Craven Cottage was the difference between a  point for Man Utd and a point for Fulham. The Spaniard came off the  bench in the 72nd minute to provide the attacking threat Manchester  United lacked. His one-two with Christian Eriksen showed real desire and  his late goal was a memorable moment for United. Earlier, Dan James had  cancelled out Christian Eriksen’s goal for United. However, in the 93rd  minute, Garnacho slotted into a corner and beat Bernd Leno to give  Manchester United the win.
Despite missing several key players,  Manchester United came from behind to win the match 2-1 at Craven  Cottage. The victory is important for the Red Devils as it keeps them  three points away from the top four. Christian Eriksen opened the  scoring for United in the 14th minute after getting on the end of a  Bruno Fernandes cross. The game’s second half saw both teams struggle to  find a rhythm, but Alejandro Garnacho’s late strike gave Man Utd a  dramatic win.
Fulham struggled to regain control of the game after  conceding the opening goal. They were missing key players such as  Aleksandr Mitrovic and Carlos Vinicius, which cost them a goal. Daniel  James, who is on loan from Leeds, equalised for Fulham shortly after.  Garnacho then played a one-two with Ericsson and ran into the box to  slot home a late winner.
The game was remarkably even, as both  sides had plenty of chances to score. United had a lot of quality  chances to score, but their chances were narrowed by Malacia’s late  intervention. Manchester United also showed some excellent attacking  moves through Erik ten Hag and Joao Palhinha.
The game was a  battle between two sides that possessed the best attacking players. The  hosts had the upper hand in possession, but Fulham were determined to  get a point. With a man advantage, Fulham managed three shots on goal,  all of which were from long range. The total xG of those three shots was  only 0.10, which was disappointing – but understandable given that  Fulham decided to play for a point rather than a win.
Christian  Eriksen has been an excellent signing for Manchester United. His first  goal for the club was a well-placed header, and he set up Garnacho’s  late strike. The win was deserved, but it could have been different if  the home team had made use of Aleksandar Mitrovic after the break.
The  second goal comes from a controversial penalty awarded to Andreas  Pereira in the 26th minute. The referee ruled that the goal was not  given after Cancelo’s red card. However, the penalty was converted by  Andreas Pereira, and the result was a 1-0 win for Man Utd.
United’s  4-2-3-1 is fluid and direct, playing long balls over the Fulham  high-press. The four fluid players in the attack have increased the  stability of United’s attack. United were well defended in the first  half, but Fulham made the most of their absences and peppered the United  goal.Alejandro Garnacho’s Late Strike Gives Man Utd a Dramatic Win Over Fulham
