The old vehicle running in the road of Delhi NCR will be ban after the Supreme Court 2018 verdict on the same issue. It may take place even when the central government has announced scrapping policies for such older vehicles.
Now the question tickles; will the banning old vehicle order is still relevant when Center Government has come up with a scrapping policy for aged automobiles. Before this decision, people freely buy luxury cars, even second-hand and third-hand, but now they have to think about it many times.
The Delhi state government and Union government are firm on implementing a unanimous law to eliminate old vehicles. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had declared the outline of the vehicle scrap policy in the final budget speech this year.
After in March 2021, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari provides detailed information about vehicle scrapping policy in Lok Sabha. Car Ki Deal welcomes the policy of the union government, and we abide by all the rules; we offer luxury cars for sale that are not too old.
As stated by the Union Government, private vehicles that are two decades old and government and commercial; automobiles that are 15 years old need to be under fitness examination. Only those vehicles will get permission to run on the road after re-registration, which passes the examination successfully.
If any means of transport become unsuccessful in clearing the test, it will be tagged as “end of life” vehicles, and they got deregistered. Owners of these vehicles will be motivated to scrap them.
In Delhi, petrol vehicles more than 15 years old and diesel vehicles with 10+ years of age are not permitted to run on the road. Meanwhile, you don’t have to worry because Car ki Deal has come to offer you excellent luxury SUV cars that don’t come in the old vehicle list.
The Supreme Court has also instructed Delhi Transport Department in its order to declare a list of those vehicles on its website, and the department has full authority to scrap those vehicles that come under this ban order.
In March, it came to light that the Union Road Transport Ministry is planning to get a legal opinion on whether it should seek a review of the Supreme Court ban on old vehicles in Delhi-NCR. However, it is easy to get luxury cars in Delhi through Car Ki Deal.
The Delhi Transport Minister, Mr. Kailash Gehlot, said that the Delhi Government would explain the Supreme Court scrapping vehicle policy draft and urge to review its 2018 order.
The only negation between Apex court verdict and center policy is that a vehicle’s life is decided through its fitness test, not by its age.
The Supreme Court order overrides the Union government’s policy; residents of Delhi have to follow aged vehicle band despite voluntary vehicle scrapping policy that has already come to light.
