McGregor’s Trilogy Loss to Poirier

His recent 3rd match with Dustin Poirier has turned out to be a setback to his career as he has lost the decisive Trilogy match and even ended up fracturing his ankle. The first match between the two rivals was in UFC 178. It was a one-sided game because Conor was looking more enthusiastic right from the start. Though both players were facing each other for the first time, Conor was relaxed and quick.

Mcgregor’s reflexes were stronger than Dustin Poirier in that match and the latter was knocked off within the first round. Both the rivals locked horns again in the second match in the 257th UFC in Abu Dhabi. Initially, the match was in Conor’s hands as he took total control of Dustin.

He cornered Dustin to the cage and started kicking and punching him hard. However, Dustin gathered his strength and turned the tables, he was specifically targeting Conor’s legs. He surely did his homework well because Conor McGregor’s legs can destroy his opponent in seconds.

Dustin took his revenge and they were on equal footings until the last thriller match between the two. The match was played in the 264th UFC. It was a nail-biting fight between the two held in Las Vegas.
