The strength of the frame is not as sturdy as at Deuter, which may not balance heavy loads. In addition, fabric and seams have a risk of failing if the load is too heavy as well. At this price, the bag will not last you a lifetime but it is a correct option for your first trip, at a price that defies all competition.
If you go for a long time and plan to carry a heavy load for the long haul, opt for a high-end bag instead because if it lets you loose on the road, it can really ruin the trip, I have experienced it. and a loose strap is anxiety …
What about Quechua backpacks?
I do not offer a backpack from the Quechua range, the famous Decathlon brand. Their small-capacity backpacks are very correct but for large volumes (over 50 liters), the prices remain high for lower quality and very questionable comfort.
Having tested two of them, I am not convinced by the materials (breathable) nor by their comfort (I have never found a model that really suits me) or their strength. The seams are too weak, the chest strap of my bag gave out after a few months … For a small price, I therefore prefer to direct you to the Mountaintop model above.
