Review of The Croods 2 a new era, the family film premiere for this Christmas. This coming Wednesday, December 23, DreamWorks ‘ most famous family of cavemen returns to theaters with a sequel that maintains the visual brilliance, but that descends several steps due to its loose script.
The Croods, with a crush on EEP and Chico, find a heavenly place after surviving in the harsh world outside the cave. There live the Masmejor, a much more evolved and sophisticated family that will jeopardize the relationship between the couple.
Back in 2013, the first part of The Croods left us a very funny film full of heart and emotional moments. His animation was fascinating, and he kept note in all his sections. Now, with Joel Crawford directing and an equally new team of screenwriters, all the punch we found in the first, seems to dissipate.
Perhaps, the biggest problem of this sequel is that there is no real plot that takes us somewhere. And if it leads to anything, it’s certainly nothing new. In the first film there were clear objectives, a defined message, but now everything is wobbling, and the film The Croods 2 a new era is tumbling back and forth without having a concrete sense.
