How do I set up a Canon MG3600 wifi printer?
These are the steps to perform the Canon MG3600 setup. To unbox your device, take off the protective tape.
Next, take out all accessories and place the device in a secure position. Then, take all cables with you to your printer. Follow these steps to connect them correctly:
Method 1: Use WPS Method
Wi-Fi Protected Setting up (WPS) is a quick and easy way to set up your MG3600 printer. This allows users to connect to the printer and computer using just their admin name and password.
Now, make sure your printer has the WPS button. Next, go through the setup process to get the Canon MG3600 wireless setup.
Step 1: Turn the printer on and then press the Wi-Fi button. Keep it in place for a few seconds, until the ON indicator flashes. After that, press the Black button. Next, press the Wi-Fi key again.
Step 2: After a few seconds, you’ll see the Wi-Fi indicator flashing rapidly and the ON indicator lit. Next, press and hold the WPS button on the router or access points for 2 minutes.
The device will now search for available networks. During this time, the Wi-Fi indicator will continue to flash. While connecting to the router/access point, the power LED and Wi-Fi indicator keeps flashing.
Step 3: After the device has been successfully connected to the router, the Wi-Fi indicator, as well as the Power, LED stop flashing and remain lit.
You have now completed the printer MG3600 setup. If the device isn’t connected, the next step can be used.
Method 2: Standard Connection Method
If your router does not have the WPS button you can follow the steps below.
Step 1: Tap on the “Start Setup” option first. You can go to Canon‘s official website and download the most recent version of the driver if you notice that the driver needs to be updated. The updating process will take only a few moments.
Step 2: Select your country, then the region. Click on the Next button. Click on the Next button to view the Terms and Conditions. Next, click the Yes button. To continue the Install Wizard process, click on the Next button.
Step 3: Next, select the ‘Wireless LAN Connection’ option and click on the Next button. Next, click on the “Connect via wireless router” button and then click on the “Next”.
Next, verify that the printer has been turned on and then click the “Settings printer couldn’t be found” option. Click the Next button.
Step 4: Follow the prompts on the screen to continue the process. After waiting a while, tap the Next button. To close the window, click on the Exit button.
