The 2nd triplet club championship of SSC Inkognito 12 Berlin ended on September 22nd. From June 2nd Until 09/22/2020 the club members fought and played for the coveted title. The championship games were played in the first and second legs.

In the final, the defending champions Mike Adler, Andreas Franz-Peters and Thorsten Peters defeated Petra, Ralf and Erich Gräbnitz 13: 3 in a one-sided game. Congratulations. Detlef Steinke, Zoey and Helmut Niehoff landed on 3rd place

For the 8th World Mixed Masters, the world championship for mixed teams of two, Helmut and his new play partner Gaby competed for SSC Inkognito 12 Berlin on August 22, 2020. In the May 1st stadium in Lichtenberg, the team had once again caught a difficult group in the preliminary round.

It was difficult for both of them against “Kartoffelsupp-Konfetti-Kubb” from Berlin and the “Erni” team from Rostock. Only against the old rival “Kubb d ‘Amour” from Berlin were both able to keep up. But frivolously gambled away their leadership.

In the following knockout round, the course was set for playing up or sliding down. Unfortunately the game against the “Woody Füchse” was lost with 0: 2 sets.

Then the SSC team had to go into the placement round. There Gaby and Helmut were group winners after a brilliant 4: 1 victory over “Fun Master Holzfällerchen”, Helmut missed the king, but the second king’s throw in the next shot was then.

In the final for 13th place, Gaby and Helmut played concentrated. When after about 18 minutes all the opposing kubbs were cleared away and all of his own were still standing, Helmut again missed the king. No drama so far. In the next round, however, a kubb of his own was thrown so close to the king that there was a risk of the king falling over if he tried to hit the field kubb.

Now it was time to take the risk of letting the opponent into the field. That’s how it was done. Clearing all other field cubes was important to keep the opponent “Hertha11” busy and not to let the base cubes. The plan worked. At the end of the 25 minutes of playing time, there were still 2 basic cubes on the line at the SSC. The game was just won.

A huge success for Gaby and Helmut. The greatest success in the club’s history for the SSC.

The “summiteers” with Heiko and Gesine became world champions. Vice world champion “Durstiges Holz” with Mady and Henrik.
