Kraft paper bags that double as wrapping paper are back. The classic brown paper bag has had a Christmas makeover and can be used for gift wrapping. Kraft paper bag includes the classic brown paper bag used for packaging lightweight items often used in groceries and bakeries. It is decorated with festive brown and red candy cane stripes.
Each bag has cut lines where buyers can turn the bag into beautiful recycled wrapping paper. These bags are 100% recyclable and reusable. The previous year, stores revealed how to make durable, versatile, and eco-friendly paper bags.
Cut the handles:
The first step of the designer trio is to cut the handles and the bottom of the bag so that the paper can spread out. If you are gifting something rectangular, you can easily fold up the sides and glue it to make a nice gift with decoration.
If you are giving a small gift, such as a pair of earrings, you will need empty toilet paper rolls. Start by cutting the bag into shape and wrap the paper around the cardboard, securing it with a piece of masking tape. Separate the tube into thirds and tie a piece of scotch tape between the space between each roll of toilet paper imitating a Christmas cracker. Remove the toilet paper rolls as you go, but be sure to tuck your gift inside before attaching the last end.
Sock Wrap:
Next showed shoppers how to make adorable sock wrap that they thought would be great for gift cards. Start by cutting a sock shape out of two pieces of paper, then hold them together by punching holes along the edge. Take a long, thin piece of ribbon and tie it on each side, making sure your gift is in the middle to put it on top when you’re done. The Primark Vacation Team finished the bottom with a bow, but you can add any decoration you want.
Sustainable Christmas:
It is estimated that around 75,000 tonnes of packaging waste are created each Christmas in each region. The Kraft brown paper bag is sure to avoid some of the disasters associated with wrapping gifts, making it a more lasting Christmas.
The iconic brown paper bag was introduced to buyers in 2001 to replace the old plastic bags. Primark Cares Director Lynne Walker said: “In September we launched our Primark Cares sustainability strategy and we are committed to changing the way we make our clothes, ensuring they are recyclable. by 2027, whether they are made with more sustainable materials or recycled by 2030 and last longer by 2025. “
Some shiny, glitter, or metallic gift wrapping papers are not recyclable and are made from plastic film. The best way to tell if the wrapping paper is recyclable is to take the “Scrunch Test”. Remove any scotch or scotch before recycling. According to My Waste, the gift wrap must be placed in the household recycling bin. The shop also offers a selection of gift wrap and gift paper bags.
Kraft will also operate its own clothing and fabric recycling system, allowing people to donate their favorite pieces.
