Is your feline buddy aged seven or above? If so, you officially have a senior pet! Cats usually age quite slowly and gracefully. You probably won’t notice major changes happening right away.
As your pet ages, she’ll slow down, and won’t be quite as frisky or playful as she used to be. She may also sleep more. One thing you can do to help keep her comfortable is to set out lots of soft beds and provide her with comfy napping spots. Your pet will still appreciate having some cat furniture, but she may prefer things that are low to the floor and easy to get in and out of.
Over time, your cat may become quite stiff and sore. Be very gentle when picking her up or putting her down. You may also want to get a litterbox with low sides, which will be easy for her to get in and out of.
