Story of The Magician Of Sitar – Mr. Bhagirath Bhatt.
Bhagirath Bhatt was born in a Gujarati family in Jamnagar City, Gujarat to Pankajkumar Bhatt. Bhatt is 30 year old now and currently lives in Mumbai as he is well-established in the music industry now. Bhagirath’s father is also a musician and he was coached by his father himself till the age of 8.
After that he started to learn the art under well known musician Shree Chetan Bhai Shashtri in Jamnagar itself. For further training under Ustad Abdul Halim Jafer he shifted to The City Of Dreams – Mumbai. Bhagirath horned the art under him till he was seventeen and ever since then he is mastering it under Ustad Asad Khan Ji.
Now, After almost 16 years of learning and playing the instrument, Bhagirath Bhatt is a very successful sitarist in the Hindi as well as Gujarati music industry. He is well established and has worked for various Bollywood, Tollywood and Gujarati movies. Legendary Music directors for whom the Sitarist has played are A.R Rahman, Shankar Mahadevan, Amit Trivedi etc.
Also, he has performed live in more than 10 countries. Apart from that, Bhatt has done hundreds of concerts in India. The list of his achievements goes on and on.
