Iati anti COVID-19 travel insurance
Iati has adapted two of its insurances to cover travel from the possible effects of the coronavirus pandemic. These are the anti-COVID-19 coverage of cancellation and travel assistance + cancellation insurance :
- Travel cancellation expenses for COVID-19 . Includes reimbursement of expenses as a result of canceling the trip before it starts testing positive for COVID-19 . Covers the positive case of the insured, their parents or their children, (available for trips from Spain)
- Travel medical assistance . Covers any expense derived from medical or health care in the event of COVID-19 , under the same conditions as any other disease. Namely:
- Dysgnostic tests for the confirmation of contagion by COVID-19 (CRP) prescribed by health professionals in case the insured presents symptoms compatible with the disease.
- Medical transport to the nearest medical center.
- Medical care / hospitalization of the insured.
- Extension of stay due to quarantine . Includes hotel expenses caused by the extension of the stay due to the quarantine required by COVID-19 prescribed by medical professionals (maximum period according to the policy between 10 and 14 days).
- Repatriation: covers the repatriation of the insured in the event of loss of the initially contracted means of transport to return to their place of origin, for assistance, hospitalization or quarantine in the event of COVID-19.
