Amidst all the chaos and uncertainty of the Corona virus (COVID-19) epidemic, office buildings are the first thing to open a backup. We’ve managed to keep our homes clean and tidy, but many people are wondering how to do it on their desktops when they get back to work. What was once known can now be felt with the severity of the plague. That’s why we’ve listed five tips to keep your desk and office space clean.

Make sure you’re ready. Before returning to your office  disinfection or desk space, think about all the cleaning equipment you want to use to clean the space. It is important that you bring EPA-registered disinfectant to your desk for daily use. This increases your chances of killing any germs that may touch your area.

Consistency is essential. Just because you came back to the office and cleaned your desk doesn’t mean it will be sterile. Make sure you clean your desk every day. Wipe the surface in one direction and do not return to it from the opposite direction as it will accumulate germs that had just been cleaned.

Consider setting up a reminder to either clean in the morning or before leaving work. You monitor your space and maintain its hygiene. Don’t hesitate to ask your employer if they are taking any other necessary steps to keep the office clean in addition to their job. It is helpful to know this as part of your precautionary cleaning routine.

On trash days, you can leave your box near your office or desk door, and minimize the time it takes to enter your space. When using the bathroom, communal or solitary, it’s best to be prepared with toilet disinfectants and make sure you’re just a cleaner.

Find out what your top rank is. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has praised the high level of contact. Spend a regular day at the office, and make a note of all the things that touch you to make your work day more efficient. This includes electronics, writing utensils such as pens and pencils, folders, keyboards, monitors and chairs. Remember, when it comes to cleanliness, it’s best to keep it to a minimum. Using appropriate precautions, such as gloves, can help eliminate the risk of exposure during your cleaning.

Remember to wear a mask. It may have its own guidelines when it comes to wearing a mask to prevent infectious diseases in your workplace. Make sure you have more than one mask, so if you forget someone in the car or leave someone in the office, you are reducing their visibility.

Attitude is still everything. As long as we remember them, the world’s workspace will have to wait a long time before anything happens. However, one thing that has not changed is the need for a positive and safe work environment. Cleaning your desk may be a new routine, but knowing that your workplace is clean and there is no shelter for germs will make you feel better and more positive about going back.
